Responsibilities and Qualifications

This role is intended to ensure sustainment of implemented Patient Flow initiatives and continues identification and implementation of patient flow opportunities for Mercy Springfield Communities. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer- the Vice President of Patient Logistics provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational management to ensure that optimal patient throughput is achieved in the inpatient acute care settings with the goal of meeting throughput, cost, service, and quality objectives for Mercy Springfield Communities.

Provide administrative oversight for patient flow processes to include but not limited to: bed control, single line referral, throughput, centralized patient transport, post acute discharges, etc..

Lead/support/monitor CaRevolution implementation and sustainment

  • Facilitate CaRevolution Steering Committee Meetings and support CaRevolution implementation work, including:

  • Development of analytics tools

  • Hub implementation

  • Attend and support CaRevolution implementation team meetings and workgroups

  • Meet with CaRevolution Implementation Leads to discuss any risks to sustainability, desired process enhancements, and relevant metric trends

  • Identify risks and facilitate barrier removal as challenges arise; Escalate issues to Executive Sponsor/Champion Administrator

  • Develop interdisciplinary care rounds

Provided administrative oversight for care management department

Facilitate complex case management process

Facilitate/lead/monitor length of stay and utilization review efforts

Implement/support/sustain centralized patient transport system

Provide administrative oversight for single line referral structure and enhance process(es) where needed

Maintain oversight for co-worker education and communication as it pertains to metrics and tools

Complete additional performance improvement activities

  • Leverage Accelerating Implementation (AIM) methodology to teach and coach others through the change process

  • Utilize lean principles/tools as part of the continuous improvement process

  • Set expectations and provide oversight for leadership rounding activities.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

RN or Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

Licensure: If licensed RN, must maintain licensure in good standing

Experience: 5+ years healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Masters degree preferred.

Experience: Data/Opportunity Analysis, Lean, Six-Sigma, Change Management, Pro Forma Development

We have been in business since 1979 and now have 20 branches in 17 states. The purpose of the Chief Financial Officer / VP of Finance is to safeguard the company assets. The person is responsible for timely and accurate tax compliance, 401-K retirement plan administration, payroll, the analysis of financial statements, and budgets. This position oversees the establishment and enforcement of internal control policies and procedures and provides leadership and oversight of the company Enterprise system and supporting software. Duties include, but are not limited to, * overseeing the Accounting Department and insuring that accurate accounting records are maintained and issued in a timely manner * coordinate efforts with Redneck Trailer Supplies' external auditors as they perform the year-end independent audit * coordinate the tax return preparation and make every effort to be fully informed on tax matters so that the tax implications on given tax matters can be identified and analyzed * responsible for the annual budgeting process that includes determining guidelines and preparation * responsible for all treasury management functions for Redneck Trailer Supplies * coordinate annual renewal of property and casualty insurance policies * supervise the Credit and Collections Department to set corporate credit policies and establish systems to monitor AR * supervise the IS Department and oversee the evaluation of all company IS systems * foster a work environment characterized by mutual respect and effectively handle any disagreements or conflicts that may arise * provide direction, define priorities, and set clear expectations for the Accounting Department * use coaching skills efficiently to improve staff performance and conduct effective and timely performance reviews * oversee training programs for all Accounting, Credit, and IS Department personnel to enable them to perform their jobs at an optimum level * oversee the recruitment, reference checks, hiring, and development of employees for the Accounting, Credit, and IS Departments We are looking for a candidate that will take our core values to heart and has a strong drive to succeed in our industry.
