Seeking a Director of Finance for a growing and dynamics start up company centrally located in San Diego! KEY COMPONENETS: ? Must be comfortable with handling the nuts and bolts: of accounting. Will be responsible for all transactional accounting but will also grow the team. Expectations to build out the team under them and eventually oversee all accounting operations and mange the team. ? Must be comfortable with risk management, insurance, contracts negotiation, supporting financial reporting to investors, preparing pitch decks for venture capital, facilities (lease negotiations) developing processes and inventory management. ? Public/ Private mix- CPA preferred (not required) ? Establish processes, internal controls. ? Managing Inventory -a plus (forecasting financial performance) ? SAAS experience a plus ? Experience w/ Venture Capital transactions ? QuickBooks ? Someone success driven about start-up culture. Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial reporting packages, and statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization

  • Manage administrative functions related to risk and insurance, facilities, and contracts compliance

  • Prepare budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures, and analyze and report variances

  • Develop appropriate accounting, analysis and reporting formats, procedures/policies and schedules to support the reporting and analysis process

  • Prepare and present reports to support management and board reviews, shareholder communications, and new investor due diligence

  • Manage company treasury functions related to cash flow, AR/AP, and other balance sheet items

  • Plan and comply with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes

  • Maintain full compliance with company policies/procedures

  • Wear ?multiple hats? and manage a variety of administrative tasks (with and without team members) given the fast-growing nature of the business

Requirements
Basic Skills and

Qualifications:
- bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or similar field
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and administration experience

  • Self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills, positive attitude and work ethic, and attention to detail. Possesses a ?can do/do-it-now? mentality. Preferred Experience and

    Skills:
    - CPA and/or MBA
  • Experience building accounting and finance functions in a start-up environment

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills

  • Experience with venture financing transactions from fundraising through due diligence to close

  • Experience accounting for manufacturing operations and SaaS business models

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and growing environment where job functions can evolve - efficient, enthusiasm, and mental stamina

SUMMARY: This role will be a financial business partner for the commercialorganization supporting INGREZZA and future commercial products.
