UPG Structural is looking for a Vice President of Supply Chain. This pivotal role entails crafting and executing strategies to bolster sales growth and enhance profitability across our supply chain network. Your expertise in strategic planning, leadership, and management will drive tangible outcomes for the division. This person will report into the Group President.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategy, leadership, optimization, development, and execution of all supply chain functions for raw materials, MRO's, logistics and inventory management for the Structural Group.
Establish and maintain relationships with Finance, department heads (General Manager, Supply chain leaders, etc), and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
Implement advanced analytics and supply chain management tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Coordinate risk management efforts across the supply chain, including the development of contingency plans to mitigate the impact of disruptions, shortages, or other unforeseen challenges. Establish and analyze daily production reports and advise management of anticipated disruptions in the area of production or sales.
Act as a change agency by facilitating and driving process improvement for TOtal SUpply Chain, including customer collaboration, internal demand management, internal supply chain (processing and distribution) and supply base processes via Supplier Connection initiatives.
Work cross functionally to maximize process and organizational benefits, identify opportunities, coordinate internal and external resources, and implement change in conjunction with UPG Structural Metals objectives.
Organize and supervise physical inventory establishing parameters to minimize touches and maximize efficient distribution of raw materials.
Identify and set goals for all supply chain departments with robust analysis ensuring inventory integrity. Communicate performance objectives and results to subordinates.
Ability to travel to all UPG Structural Sites.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
7-10 years of Supply Chain/Production Scheduling/Inventory Control experience
Experience with ERP systems
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure - utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Strong leadership and development skills
Excellent oral and written communication and PC skills - specifically MS & CMS
Strong inventory/materials management, organization skills and detail orientated
