A VP, Strategic Sales' primary responsibility is to lead, motivate, manage and engage with Strategic Account Executives to sell Entrust security software solutions and related services to prospective and existing strategic commercial customers in the US and Canada, accurately forecast the business for their sales geography, and effectively develop the skills and capabilities of their respective sales team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence and implementations of strategic business objectives in order to successfully reach sales goals
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the team
Identifies, creates, sustains and manages business relationships with select companies to inform and prioritize the product and innovation roadmaps of the Product Management teams within EDC
Supports Strategic Account Executives in the Building of relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts, mastering EDC's unique selling propositions and corporate "elevator pitch"
Provides the coaching and mentoring to Strategic Account Executives necessary to elevate sales process to a business pain/problem-solving orientation versus product/technology orientation
Provides direction and cross-functional collaboration to form strategic account plans, targeted marketing programs, forecast reports, and action items
Identifies and builds trusted relationships with key channel and alliance partners, setting the example and expectation for partner-friendly behavior amongst the Strategic Account Executives
Develop, share and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all key competitors
Assume full responsibility of quota attainment as agreed to and communicated by the VP of Americas Sales
Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, performance reviews, individual development activities, etc.
Monitor team performance against department standards, and ensure that these standards are consistently met or exceeded
Assisting in disciplinary decisions and action
Act as escalation point for issues and provide leadership and guidance to team
Minimum of 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience with a proven history of quota attainment preferred
Past software experience in the area of Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related security software segments strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
