Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Software to lead our software development efforts. As the VP of Software, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of vehicle software, overseeing end-to-end testing, managing software operations, and spearheading initiatives related to infotainment and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). You will lead a talented team of software engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative software solutions that align with our company's goals and values.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of vehicle software systems, including firmware, embedded software, and application software, to enhance the performance, safety, and efficiency of our electric vehicles.

• Oversee end-to-end testing processes to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our software solutions.

• Manage software operations, including both backend and frontend development, to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and optimize performance.

• Drive the development of infotainment systems, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to deliver an exceptional user experience.

• Lead the development and implementation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety and autonomy.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, design, product management, and quality assurance, to align software development efforts with overall business objectives.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and integrate relevant advancements into our development processes.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the software engineering team.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to software engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of leading successful software development projects from conception to delivery, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.

• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices, with expertise in both backend and frontend development.

• Experience with end-to-end testing processes and methodologies, including test automation frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of infotainment systems, ADAS, and related technologies.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

California Pay Range
