Position Highlights

Oversees and directs Large, Mega or Not-for-Profit (LMN) Relationship Managers. Responsible for success of team's book of business and owns the team's book of business P&L. Finds solutions, creates value, and has engaged teams. Understands financials by plan and direct report. Identifies and deploys strategies to improve revenue and reduce expense. Responsible for talent acquisition and staff development for approved roles. Drives segment and enterprise initiatives, positions Empower products and services. Thought leader who grows Empower reputation via industry membership, development, and speaking. Understands competitive marketplace, supports new plan acquisition, and develops intermediary relations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain a compelling vision, strategic objectives, and priorities

  • Drives business results to achieve LMN scorecard goals

  • Creates and delivers client strategy and ensures alignment throughout territory, segment and enterprise

  • Leads RMs to drive strategic initiatives and scorecard outcomes

  • Acts as enterprise leader for team members and executive contact for clients

  • Drives revenue, decrease expenses for consistent, profitable growth

  • Manages to budget while balancing territory needs and organizational expectations

  • Achieve optimal balance between delivering near-term results and preparing for future client needs

  • Collaborates frequently with other members of the organization, seek cross-segment input

  • Drives satisfaction with client, and challenges to drive outcomes and segment objectives

  • Leads RMs and enables team for client success

  • Interfaces with client at executive level to understand overall objectives and requirements, utilize feedback to enact positive change across territory and segment

  • Builds long term partnership with associates, clients, and intermediaries

  • Increases AUM and Managed Accounts


Bachelor's Business Degree or equivalent from accredited institution. Master's Degree preferred.

  • FINRA Series 6, 26 and 63 registrations required within corporate-established timelines

  • FINRA fingerprinting required

  • 10+ years senior level leadership experience in Financial Services and Relationship Management

  • Strategic thinker that can create and drive strategy, and business results

  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to influence direction and resource allocation

  • Communicates and creates enthusiasm for initiatives, ability to grow and develop high performing individuals and teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate remote teams, and hold accountable in an organization that is evolving its strategy

  • Adaptable, motivator , culture enabler someone who can help associates embrace change, and think differently

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on key objectives, successfully partner with the senior leadership team to transform internal capabilities as well as across the organization

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentations skills, building partnerships internally and externally including plan sponsors, consultants and business leaders

  • Leads team and develops them to solve problems for root cause using innovative and creative solutions.

  • Has authority for decision making with for the assigned region.

  • Profit/Loss responsibility for the region.

Responsibilities * As a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders by consulting on complex sales strategies to optimize client satisfaction & retention * Builds and directs a complex relationship platform by identifying executive contacts within targeted organizations to achieve profitable sales & product breath growth. * Builds, enhances and maintains effective relationships with complex client organizations to ensure a high level of client satisfaction & increase sales revenues & profitability. * Collaborates with internal stakeholders on proposals and/or promotional materials. * Develops & maintains complex plans to support retention sales & product breadth growth within existing clients. * Develops a multifaceted understanding of existing/targeted client organizations. * Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives * Develops, maintains and executes complex client relationship plans to ensure clients overall service needs are satisfied and achieve all business/profitability objectives. * Identifies and resolves complex client issues/concerns in a timely manner. * Identifies clients with retention risk and develops and executes complex plans to retain clients. * Increases awareness of LFG's products & services with assigned client organizations. * Maintains expense budgets to set limits. * Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems and/or completes sales reports. * Meets or exceeds all department and/or sales goals/targets for his/her assigned clients. * Participates in financial services &/or insurance industry trade organization meetings seeking opportunities for LFG to participate via sponsorship &/or speaking opportunities * Profiles territory of complex clients to identify which firms may be interested in LFG offerings & targets executives with whom to build relationships * Provides feedback and intelligence to internal partners on existing and targeted clients. * Serves as a subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders by leveraging an advanced understanding and expertise of LFG's products, services & operational structure. * Supports retention efforts by looking for opportunities to cross sell/partner with appropriate stakeholders. * Works effectively to support growth in all segments of LFGs product/service offerings to capitalize on opportunities to penetrate client organizations.
