Role Summary/Purpose:

QVC is the world's leading video and ecommerce retailer, offering a curated collection of desirable brands to millions of customers each day through broadcast, Internet, and mobile sales platforms. As the QVC General Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the QVC relationship and portfolio performance. The focus will be to effectively grow, profitably increasing assets/sales/accounts while executing initiatives, introducing & integrating additional products, and enhancing the client relationship. You will also be responsible for leading or partnering on cross-functional and multi-brand initiatives across the Qurate programs (QVC & HSN).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with all the client groups, internal and external, and all key stakeholders.

  • Own and drive overall portfolio financial performance as well as key growth metrics.

  • Understand and execute overall retail strategy & portfolio dynamics in order to develop and support growth strategies and action plans.

  • Meet all contractual obligations.

  • Manage proactively day to day operations and trouble shoot any breakdowns.

  • Represent SYF's interests in negotiations with the client.

  • Ensure adherence to all external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to operating and training procedures, contractual reporting, client overview process, etc.

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-portfolio projects to implement new business strategies, technology and products.

  • Identify client CTQs & lead cross functional business teams to deliver. Monitor progress to goals & proactively identify areas of opportunity.

  • Lead monthly joint operating councils and quarterly executive steering committee portfolio performance reviews with the client.

  • Understand the video streaming and digital business model, unique customer base, and deliver appropriate product solutions.

  • Partner with team to assess key portfolio performance metrics to determine optimal campaign & program strategies. Utilize data to contribute to the overall strategy of the portfolio.

  • Provide value added analysis & reporting to client to evaluate & drive program performance.

  • Identify & implement programs to enhance profitability and reduce costs.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 12+ years client management/card experience in the Financial Services field.

  • 7+ years client management experience or retail card experience, including influencing or leading teams to include:

  • Strong overall knowledge of the card business including risk, collections, operations, marketing, compliance, information technology/interfaces, and finance.

  • 3+ years-experience delivering formal communications to either senior business leaders or key external business partners.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated prior experience involving contract negotiations, competitive pricing, business planning and P&L management

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong marketing, creative and analytic skills

  • Broad experience with technology integrations across the cardholder lifecycle

  • Proven ability to influence corporate decision makers; strong negotiating skills

  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and creative approaches to business needs

  • eCommerce, and Payment Industry experience

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team

Grade/Level: 14

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
