The Quality Assurance Manager is a vital team player in the Enterprise Project Management Office and to the enterprise. As a skilled, hands-on QA Manager, this person will have direct impact to the profitability and efficiency from the overall delivery of quality initiatives across the enterprise. Consistently and constructively solicit, clarify and acknowledge individual perspectives, feedback and opinions with open-mindedness and flexibility. The QA Manager will be responsible for supporting multiple Project Managers and the Head of the EPMO. The QA Manager will understand and comply with requirements of all laws, regulations, policies and guidelines applicable to the position. May perform other duties as assigned.


  • Define, document, and improve Quality Assurance testing plans standards, tools, procedures, and guidelines while considering manual testing, automated testing, and framework based testing option

  • Work closely with project managers and/or management to articulate QA results so that decisions can be made based on quantifiable QA test data and the potential risks from elements like test holes, labs or boundary conditions

  • Requires an strong aptitude to gain a very good understanding of the project, product and/or services to comprehend the requirements and incorporate them into the QA plans to develop a formal QA testing program quickly

  • Identify appropriate test strategies, test environment requirements and activities based on application-specific technical and functional characteristics

  • Implement industry standards/best practices in Software Quality Assurance with defined benchmarks and measures

  • Identify and implement QA tools to reduce dependence on specialized knowledge and/or repetitive regression testing

  • Establish standards for reporting and tracking of defects and their resolution

  • Strategize QA Plans, define QA tasks, and create and manage QA estimates

  • Be a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Support and the management team. Should show the ability to fit right in and jive well with all personalities while getting things done. Should be assertive and a team player looking out for the best interest of the company at large

  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

  • Works under minimal supervision. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments

  • Responsibilities extend to multiple projects, work efforts and/or programs simultaneously

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Highly proficient building and executing Test Strategies & Plan, Cases and Scripts

  • Highly proficient building and executing defect tracking procedures/processes

  • Working knowledge on any standard Test management Applications (E.g.: HP Quality Center / ALM, Microsoft TFS, IBM Rational etc.,)

  • Working knowledge on Test Data Management processes and GLBA guidelines on NPPI

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills effectively communicating in individual and group settings; confidentiality critical

  • Able to work closely with subject matter experts (SME) and leadership across the organization as well as external vendors

  • Strong knowledge of systems capabilities, software platforms and processes.

  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Direct experience with Salesforce, Fiserv Premier and/or nCino a plus

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA or BS degree required
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in Quality Assurance
  • 5+ years related Commercial Banking or financial services business experience
