Chubb Personal Risk Services, PRS, is seeking a VP Excess Liability Product Leader to drive all financial metrics relating to the Individual and Group Excess Liability lines of business. The successful candidate will report to the SVP Product Leader and set and communicate clear line of business product strategies to ensure PRS' excess liability offerings are aligned with Chubb's personal lines target market and value-added strategy to create a competitive advantage. Successful individuals must develop and manage all Excess Liability pricing, underwriting and coverages; coordinate and prioritize implementation of resultant changes with other PRS functional departments; develop annual Individual and Group Excess Liability rate plans based upon the PRS Actuarial Pricing Study rate indications; and manage and drive Excess Liability priorities within the PRS systems.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for driving profitable growth of the Excess Liability lines of business
Work with Field Product Leader, Field teams, and Digital Distribution Lead to develop strategies to increase submission flow of profitable Excess Liability new business
Monitor industry pricing, underwriting and contract changes, and internally develop competitive analysis to educate the organization and potentially revise programs as warranted
Advance underwriting and pricing accuracy by identifying and implementing reliable sources of verified third party data
Develop, lead, and monitor various projects
Engage with internal and external business partners to drive line of business awareness, facilitate on-site and virtual training on the PRS Excess Liability Value proposition, rating & coverage enhancements, and Excess related topics
Provide periodic communications to the overall PRS teams regarding "state of the class" such as performance/results patterns, trends, competitive subjects, strategies, and product and pricing developments/changes, etc.
Collaborate in a team environment with Field Product Management, Sales, Underwriting, Risk Consulting, Operations, IT, Claims, General Counsel, and Actuarial to achieve business plans
Work with Marketing to develop new marketing materials and resource tools
Develop and implement underwriting models/guidelines which support the division's target market strategy and enable appropriate underwriting business awareness identification/declination of risks which cannot be adequately priced
Represent Chubb on various industry committees and conferences
