The Senior Project Manager accomplishes results through the management of project status and identification of issues that require escalation. Requires in-depth understanding of how Trading Book Risk Management collectively integrates with Front Office, Finance, Front Office Technology, Risk Management Technology, and ICRM. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for quality, timeliness and delivery of regulatory deliverable s. Responsible for successful management of teams that do not report directly to this Role is key responsibility for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects associated with commitments to Cit's Regulators.

  • Responsible for control and completion of specified projects ensuring consistency with Citi project management governance.

  • Collaboratively negotiates with and manages cross functional teams to successfully complete assigned projects , including responsibility for the alignment of Organizational objectives.

  • Project manages smaller projects whilst overseeing the total project list and in particular the key critical projects

  • Resolves complex problems, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes and negotiation with colleagues.

  • Full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.

  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role

  • Ensures creation of project plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.

  • Ensures resources are assigned to project & monitor commitment.

  • Ensures change control is executed throughout project.

  • Identifies, documents, and understands project dependencies Identify key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.

  • Tracks actual project costs, identify variances, and re-forecast project costs as needed.

  • Measures project management performance against standards.

  • Recommends appropriate project staffing levels.

  • Establishes project communication needs and create project communication plan.

  • Creates the project risk management plan.

  • Partners with cross function peers to create, administer, track, and eventually close Issues and CAPs in iCAPs.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in project management, primarily in financial services

  • Broad understanding of business practices

  • Demonstrates capacity to work in highly pressured & volatile environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree,

VP role to track, manage and trouble shoot solutions to projects associated with the Y14 Horizontal MRAs within the Market Risk CCAR work-stream

Ideal candidate will have experience in Technology projects / process design and execution

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-05T00:00 This position will join the Capital Planning Group to support a range of high-profile, strategic regulatory initiatives central to the safety and soundness of the Citigroup with particular focus on the governance and processes central to the execution and management of the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) exercises. Citi's Capital Planning Group is responsible for the full scope of capital planning processes and risk management across the capital planning continuum, from Basel (business as usual), to CCAR/DFAST stress testing, and to Recovery and Resolution Planning, including the management, development, and submission of the annual CCAR Capital Plans and the Recovery and Resolution plans. This position will support the Capital Planning Group's governance function by providing project management, data analytics, and dependency coordination in support of program and enhancement deliverables. The role requires project and program leadership experience as well as strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex data into presentations to senior management. This position offers potential exposure to senior management and to regulators and provides the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi's key financial and risk management processes including direct interaction with senior executives that lead workstreams across the capital and liquidity management and loss and revenue forecasting spectrum. Responsibilities: * Aid in the development and maintenance of workstream project plans to execute Capital Planning processes and to address regulatory feedback and requirements, including the identification of dependencies * Work with workstream project teams to plan, coordinate, and monitor program status (issues/risk tracking/escalation, scorecard/metrics) * Identify processes for improvement and participate in process reengineering efforts * Support preparation of executive/management level reporting to senior governance forums chaired by the Head of Capital Planning, the CFO, and the CRO * Support reporting requirements for other governance forums including the Capital Committee and RMC * Utilize standard program processes, templates, and tools for program delivery * Provide regular updates to the Head of Capital Planning Governance of Head of CCAR Governance Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * 5+ years of experience within financial services or consulting * 2-3 years of experience within project management * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn how Citi is managed and how it conducts its Capital Planning activities * Superior attention to detail and diligence sufficient to withstand scrutiny of senior executives * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and matrixed environment while multitasking and meeting strict deadlines * Ability to learn quickly and take initiative in self-development required * Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills required * Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks * Strong analytical skills required * Prior experience with process reengineering and process mapping preferred * Familiarity with change management preferred C13 * ------------------------------------------------ Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - US * ----------------------------------------------------- Time Type : * ----------------------------------------------------- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
