The Partnerships team is searching for a VP Lead Product Owner in our Wilmington, DE office. US Partnerships is an area within Barclaycard that manages our cobranded card relationships. Barclaycard has relationships with some of the nation's most successful travel, entertainment, retail, affinity and financial institutions and represents 80% of total assets held. The Lead Product Owner will have strategic and tactical ownership of a key financial product, critical process, or customer engagement channel that supports the Partnership Credit Card business, which includes partners such as Apple, Uber, and American Airlines. This leader will have responsibility for the product roadmap, develop the feature set, and will guide the technology teams that build and enhance the product. They will be responsible for delivering significant business outcomes in terms of revenue, cost savings, and customer satisfaction and will serve as an evangelist for their product within the business.

What will you be doing?

  • Own the multi-year product strategy and product roadmap, that aligns to the business strategy for the Partnership line of business

  • Proactively explore business and partner needs, develop innovative solutions, and translate solutions into an executable plan of action

  • Lead a team of one or more Product Owners, and join them in leading multiple agile teams in a SAFE agile framework to build product capabilities

  • Build and prioritize a product backlog, partner with other strategy or product owners on overlapping interests, and coordinate with technology on release planning

  • Maintain awareness and point-of-view regarding industry and competitive offerings; Educate Partnership business leaders related to existing and future options for new product capabilities

  • Manage activities related to the success measurement of the product within the partnership business, including KPI measurement, customer satisfaction, and business value; Deliver results such as an increased credit application completion rate or a higher NPS score

  • Develop experiences across a wide range of rapidly evolving platforms including mobile, social, video, conversational interfaces, artificial intelligence, APIs, and biometrics

  • Lead relevant strategic relationships with creative agencies, 3rd party software companies, and solutions providers in the digital ecosystem to accelerate delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Four-year college degree
  • 5 years of experience in financial services industry; in strategy, product, or marketing roles
  • 5 years of experience in product ownership in an agile environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Digital Product Owner or other Digital Leadership experience

  • Customer experience skills including journey mapping

  • Agile or Product Owner certifications
