The Hartford is in search of a senior leader, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure in the Operations, Data & Analytics Organization, who will have transformation and operational responsibilities for enterprise platform and infrastructure services. This role is critical in continuing to elevate The Hartford's infrastructure/hybrid cloud capabilities and provide a level of advancement in technology to further our businesses' leading position in the market. Key service areas under this leader's responsibility will include:
Web and application hosting and container services
Database hosting services
Infrastructure digitization and automation
Infrastructure towers (compute, storage, mainframe)
Hybrid cloud PaaS services
Responsible for driving the digitization of infrastructure services and straight-through processing increasingly abstracting back-end complexity through self-service
Simplify, modernize and transform traditional operating and service delivery models.
Advance the technology strategy and architectures for PaaS and IaaS services.
Elevate strategic sourcing partnerships exacting leverage and influence toward a common goal of increasing cloud readiness, improving sustainability and managing risk in a bi-modal environment.
Mature adoption of portfolio-level agile practices within the PaaS and IaaS service towers
Play a critical role in achieving objectives toward production stability, delivery speed, risk management, and cost competitiveness of infrastructure services.
Responsible for elevating our operating and delivery metrics to maintain top quartile status of all services within this space given the pace of technology.
Lead the execution of technology programs in close partnership with application areas, enterprise stakeholders and third party providers.
Responsible for optimizing the operating and engagement model for this service to improve and maintain the appropriate level of communication and collaboration within and across functional areas
Ensure the team's skill sets are aligned to the changing technology landscape and processes to enable effective delivery.
Cultivate and enable an innovative culture and mindset within the team.
Align governance practices, service metrics and reporting processes to service changes. Establish effective management routines.
15 years in an executive or leadership role; Experienced in directing a diverse technology team, setting priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives
Strong engineering mindset with deep hybrid cloud experience
Ability to effectively traverse strategy, execution and operationalization across technology domains in PaaS & IaaS
Demonstrated ability to own, transform/mature and deliver enterprise technology services
Broad knowledge and experience across enterprise technologies and architectures
Ability to drive an innovative mindset across the team; Champions change
Highly collaborative leader, comfortable making decisions in a fast paced organization
Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
Able to influence diverse teams and build strong business relationships
