The vice president of strategy and business development is responsible for leading a team accountable for strategy and business development, market and business analytics and insights, and strategic planning and implementation. This role will also review and establish future sites of service, new programs, and partnerships.
This role provides visionary leadership and strategic direction that fosters innovation, excellence and engagement, and supports the organization's mission, vision and values. The function is responsible for helping establish the organization's overall strategic vision - and ultimately improving children's health by providing the highest quality, family-centered care and experience. The vice president leads the function by collaborating with others in the organization, partnering with the community and engaging departmental team members.

Description
1.Develop strategic initiatives to gain market share and maximize profitability, and execute plans to make those initiatives achievable
2.Partner with leaders across the organization, leveraging the system's core competencies and recognizing when strategies under consideration do not align with those competencies and therefore represent undue risk
3.Identify and develop the necessary processes to link the strategic initiatives portfolio and project management resources, thereby enabling an effectively coordinated implementation
4.Analyze and train a team to analyze business and market metrics collected at the financial and project levels to verify objectives are progressing as planned, and to direct additional actions to be taken when problems or risks are identified. Provide comprehensive business insight.
5.Partner with members of the executive team to evaluate the current strategic performance of the system and identify specific areas in need of improvement.
6.Ensure strategic business plans are developed in alignment with strategy planning road maps to provide insight into strategic initiatives, delivery timelines and resource requirements
7.Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate business data sets and develop data-informed strategies in service of stated goals and with business performance dyad leaders on the development of business performance reporting tools through BI, visualization tools, etc.
8.Lead implementation of market initiatives to ensure plans are successfully executed
9.This position is a key member of the executive leadership team. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer. The Vice President has 3-5 direct reports and a team of 10-30 indirect reports
