About the role: 

Okay, we’ve waffled long enough. Let’s get to the good bit. You. 

As VP Sales for Elvie’s US business, this role will sit within our US Sales and Marketing Team reporting to the US General Manager. Our distribution model is omni-channel. You will be responsible for leading the development and growth of the Elvie business across all our retail accounts in the US. Freedom to apply your experience to help drive the business will be combined with the unique opportunity to join one of the fastest growing tech start-ups in the world to shape how we define the next stage of our success. 

You’ll be a strategic, passionate and dynamic sales leader, with proven experience of scaling large retail and digital wholesale channels, ideally in CPG or technology companies.  This is an exciting opportunity that offers the freedom to apply your commercial acumen and initiative to help drive the business.   

Location: Remote but candidates will ideally be based in New York / Northeast as the team regularly get together. Due to working hours with a UK team, we are unable to consider West Coast candidates. 

Employment type: Permanent (please note, you must have the right to work in the USA) *

Salary:
Within the range of $175,000-$220,000 USD

Requirements

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

  • Owning and leading the growth of our retail channels to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Working closely with our marketing team to grow the sell-in and sell-out and overall market share of existing key accounts. 
  • Identify new market opportunities and optimize existing channels to maximize sales performance.
  • Developing deep relationships within your channels, increasing awareness and advocacy about Elvie Products
  • Delivering an annual plan of product initiatives, promo’s and trade marketing to maximize the channels.
  • Improving profitability of key accounts, effectively managing budget and optimizing ROI.
  • Managing all stages of the sales process within your channels and owning all aspects of the P&L from Gross Sales to Contribution Margin
  • Driving the creation of joint business plans with all key account partners
  • Working cross-functionally to integrate customers into the overall consumer
  • journey.
  • Developing strategies to grow and serve other segments of the US retail market
  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching and mentoring to the sales talent within your channels, acting as a point of escalation as required.

What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of sales experience in CPG or technology companies
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of managing large retail sales channels/ accounts including Walmart and Target, and generating significant and sustained growth 
  • Experience of developing Digital Wholesale channels would be an advantage
  • Ability to run the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals
  • Experience navigating complex sales process and multi-stakeholder purchasing
  • Proven track record of delivering on ambitious growth targets
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen, strong negotiation skills
  • Strong influencing skills to effectively manage interdependencies and projects with other teams
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • University degree or equivalent
