Grow your career as a VP of Sales with Apple Leisure Group. As the Vice President of Corporate Sales you will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and retaining a leadership team of Directors of Business Development for each Apple Leisure Group (ALG) travel agency vacation brand within identified regions. You will also develop, and be accountable for the execution of sales and distribution strategies to meet financial goals of the region, and increase revenue, profitability and market share for ALG. You will support the Sales Team in maximizing identified national account partner relationships, and being the ALG contact at a headquarters level. You will direct and assist in coordinating the ALG sales team supporting the Host Agency segment. You will also align with the efforts of Blue Sky Tours, Southwest Vacations and United Vacations as they relate to sales strategy and execution.
This is a virtual role that can be located in the Northeast or Southeast regions of the US. Frequent business travel required both international and domestic.
A successful VP of Sales will:
Support Directors and BDM teams in travel agency engagement strategies
Be ALG executive escalation point for agency issues, and/or obstacles
Attend key ALG, account and/or trade events and conferences to represent Company
Align with relevant ALG departments to improve efficiencies within/for sales team and its account base
Focus on team development to improve performance and output
Work with travel agency analytics to ensure account profitability and maximum growth to goal
Oversee development of sales budgets and monitor spend
Align with Finance Department to create Sales Performance Plan
Coordinate with Vice President Corporate Sales (West) and Sr Directors to ensure one systematize, national ALG strategy and achievement to Company goal
Coordinate national account and consortia strategies between sales, agency analytics, travel agency engagement and business development
Be ALG executive contact for headquarters of identified national and consortia accounts, involved in key meetings and events
Align with Sr Director Host Accounts to develop strategy based on emerging trends, leveraging ALG tools and resources
Be ALG executive contact for Host Account headquarters, involved in key meetings and events
Work with business development team to develop and execute and direct strategy across all sales team members representing BST, SWAV and UV
Work with Business Development team to represent sales roles in BST, SWAV and UV where/when necessary
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; and at least 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Travel industry knowledge and experience are highly desired
Proven sales and leadership skills
Ability to speak in public, representing the Company at an executive level
Ability to perform in a team environment
Ability to telecommute
Excellent computer skills
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestic and international - Travel by plane and car is required depending on the location of client opportunity.
