About the opportunity
Calendly is looking for a VP of Sales to join our fast growing team. This role will report to the CEO and will lead strategy, management and execution for our sales team. You will be responsible for growing new and expansion revenue within our enterprise accounts. Currently, Calendly enterprise customers include companies such as Uber, Zillow, Marketo and many more. An ideal candidate will be a natural seller who can infuse energy for sales into the company and also a process-driven leader who can bring the sales growth to life.
Some challenges you'll get to tackle
Build and lead a high performing sales team via strategic guidance, industry insights, and sales training; while focusing on quantitative results
Ensure consistent attainment of assigned sales quotas by leading the sales process, providing direction and recommendations to improve sales close ratios
Test and experiment with sales strategies to fill our pipeline with opportunities and dramatically improve our growth rate - overall and LTV per customer
Clearly define the processes and rules for finding, serving and messaging each type of lead and measuring & reporting on all phases of that pipeline
Establish playbooks for the sales team to follow, measure and improve.
Hire and train at all levels to be successful
Work with marketing and product to maximize team success - from campaigns and content to informing the product roadmap to meet sales needs
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
Manage key customer relationships and assist with closing strategic opportunities
Develop a growing, talented salesforce through the creation of a sales training program to quickly ramp new folks while maintaining a high level of sales acumen for new products
Assess the right technology and tools needed to support a fast growing sales team
You should apply if you have:
A proven team-builder capable of hiring, inspiring and motivating a world-class sales team
Experience leading sales in a high-velocity model (high-volume and high transaction)
Experience selling SaaS products to SMBs and smaller enterprises
B2B SaaS leadership experience in a company that has scaled beyond a 20-person sales team
A goal-driven consultative seller
