Scoot is leading the world's cities from a past built around private, combustion vehicles toward a future of shared electric vehicles. Starting in 2012 with electric motorbikes, we have added electric city cars, electric bicycles, and most recently electric scooters to our range of solutions to urbanites' daily transportation needs. Meeting this fundamental need for mobility in a zero-emission, fun, and affordable way is the mission of Scoot: Electric Vehicles for Everyone. Our riders have covered over 5,000,000 electric miles of commutes, errands, and explorations of the city with friends.

Having proven the service in San Francisco and Barcelona, we are preparing for rapid scaling in terms of both new cities and new offerings for our riders. We are seeking a product leader to help guide that growth.

Product at Scoot is inclusive of our whole service, from apps to vehicles to pricing to parking and so the work is not limited to only digital products. We are looking for someone with great analytical, prioritization, process, and management skills to complement our team's existing strengths in UX and engineering. Our future Product Executive will work closely with the CTO, VP of Design, VP of Growth and other Scoot executives and managers to help us make smart, data-driven decisions about how to improve our service. The Product Executive will report to our CEO and founder, Michael Keating, and will manage all Product Managers at Scoot, including those working on digital products, vehicle development, product marketing, and product operations.

Required qualifications

  • You must use the product in order to manage the product. We will only interview candidates who have used the service.

  • You are an analytics and process-obsessed product manager who can clearly demonstrate your use of data to make product decisions. We will ask for specific examples of this.

  • You have managed other product managers and can explain how you have evaluated their performance and how you helped them develop professionally.

  • You have managed digital products and understand software development processes and practices.

  • You have managed non-digital products or services or digital products with real-world outcomes which you were responsible for.

  • You manage products in an agile fashion.

  • You have an MBA or equivalent work experience.

  • You are prepared to travel internationally approximately twice per quarter.

  • You can demonstrate your commitment to mission-driven business.

Required Skills and Experience * 20+ years of technology experience, with at least seven to ten years of executive experience leading and managing an engineering, product, and/or program management team, preferably in a database, high-volume/transaction, and cloud infrastructure environment. * Exceptional track record of managing complex product delivery in a fast growth and medium size or large company with demonstrated business impact. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capability to build alignment on technical and business strategy, and provide clear and compelling executive and customer communication. * Experience with cloud application development solutions, such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and management of delivery of cloud scale services. * 8+ years of experience managing, mentoring, motivating and growing an innovative, goal-driven delivery team; strong history of developing people, both technically and individually.
