POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP of Operations objective is to provide leadership and guidance to the project delivery and service, branch teams in the West Region. Has responsibility for the revenue and gross margin for the region, development and execution of key processes, systems, safety, and working with the branch team members in the Operations group. The position is key to the continued growth and the operational, financial, customer satisfaction, and safety success of the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for the financial results (revenue and gross margin) of all branch teams.

  • Owns the process execution of all Operational functions at the region/branch level including monthly/quarterly reviews as well as tracking and reporting key metrics.

  • Leads the project and service contract review process for the region to ensure compliance to standard practices.

  • Review and assist with Service Base growth and retention strategies for each branch.

  • Reviews branch Operational org structures/staffing to ensure local teams can execute existing and future work effectively.

  • Drive recruitment and hiring of key operations personnel in the region with our Branch teams and Recruitment/HR teams.

  • Ensures branch teams are effectively billing contracts and projects as well as driving monthly cash collections.

  • Works with key external and internal customers to establish relationships that result in better business outcomes.

  • Ensures that quality standards are assigned, measured, and met.

  • Drives a culture of safety following required safety activities.

  • Responsible to manage several workflows simultaneously.

  • Responsible to drive decisions across multiple groups across the entire team (inside and outside of operations).

Minimum Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or technical school or 10 years related experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years project and/or service management experience in HVAC, Bundled Energy Solutions or related construction field.

  • Proven experience managing Projects and Service personnel.

  • Experience in complex projects involving multiple subcontractors with multiple month schedules.

  • Experience in managing a Service business.

  • Experience working with and understanding profit and loss financial statements, project costing, and contract profitability.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, effectively present information, and respond to questions from top management, customers, and service personnel.

  • Must have working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products to include but not limited to Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to travel 50%

Responsibilities * Cultivate relationships with client users and executives, building credibility and trust * Serve as a single point of contact and resolution for the client. Aggressively manage escalated issues to resolution * Ensure necessary level of engagement of Allscripts' resources, including support, services and management are executing in order to meet account performance objectives and client expectations. * Proactively communicate Allscripts products, services, educational opportunities and strategies * Drive customer satisfaction survey participation, scores with desire for client to be a reference site * Support ongoing relationship with clients in partnership with Sales Executive to include understanding, mapping and documentation of client strategy and business goals * Understand clients' business, how Allscripts' products can address, suggest additional products, inform Sales Executive of upsell opportunities * Understand the client's strategic priorities and organizational goals, business objectives, challenges, and capabilities in order to develop a client-specific strategy and tactical delivery * Conduct periodic business reviews with client to review progress against defined goals and service delivery results * Promote attendance and active participation in Allscripts and industry events * Participate in select project oversight, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs objectives * Ensure product and service delivery projects are on time and on budget * Maintain knowledge and status of all client escalated Support/Service level delivery issues * Use knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements to insure clients are aware of and have plans for their practice needs * Facilitate client contract and financial questions to resolution Qualifications Academic and professional qualifications: * Bachelors or Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or relevant work experience * Strong business acumen and relationship development skills * Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, prioritize tasks and execute without significant oversight * Experience with healthcare and/or financial products in a sales, services, consulting, or client management environment * Previous project/customer management experience Experience: * 4-6 years moderate industry experience Travel requirements: * May require travel for business needs 25-50% Working arrangements: * May require after hours support * Primarily works in standard office environment or in home office, with responsibility for travel. Work hours will fluctuate based on responsibilities, time zones and client needs.
