The leader in real-time TV ad data and analytics is currently seeking a VP of Marketing who can direct and oversee our Marketing department. The attention and conversion analytics company measures TV ad activity at scale and directly from 10+ million smart TV screens. Attention analytics is measured by viewer retention and tune-out while ads are playing on the screen. This is an opportunity to design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals.
The VP of Marketing will help drive crisp positioning of iSpot in the marketplace and throughout the organization. The role will be responsible for brand marketing, product marketing, content marketing, PR, iSpot hosted events and industry event participation. This includes planning, organizing, staffing, and training, budgeting and managing all marketing functions. You will have strong experience in, and a passion for, the online media/advertising/ad tech space, have tech and start-up background, experience with marketing to brands and will thrive in a high-growth stage company.
You will report directly to the CEO, work in conjunction with the product team, manage internal marketing teams and the external PR agency. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that the Marketing department's activities contribute to iSpot's long-term success.
Lead global marketing and PR to drive strong, successful iSpot brand identity, awareness and reputation in the ad tech marketplace: delivering comprehensive marketing plans that cover go-to-market strategies, specific messaging and channel markets
Development of sales materials: driving effective content, and ensuring that all proposals, case studies, presentations, and sales marketing responses adhere to iSpot quality, brand, and operational standards
Event Management: Executive speaking/presentation placement and preparation
Product Launches: Work with the iSpot Product team to plan and execute launches for new and updated products, including creation of support, communications and training materials
Manage all proactive and reactive press opportunities
Management and optimization of website
Track competitors in space and provide meaningful competitive landscape analysis
Develop and manage vendor/contractor relationships
Requirements 7+ years in a Marketing Leadership role; deep knowledge of online advertising space (Experience in a high growth start-up is a plus) Demonstrable prior experience marketing to CMO's a huge plus A truly hands-on, flexible team player who will work in a collaborative environment to drive projects forward A well-rounded leader who has business acumen/experience encompassing all areas of marketing (product, program development, digital/web/social media, strategy, marketing operations and measurement, research, events, PR, branding) Self-motivated and assertive individual with strong organizational, planning and team building skills Deadline-focused with the ability to creatively overcome obstacles along the way and manage multiple projects concurrently
