PURPOSE: The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to maximize employee engagement and contribution. The Vice President of Human Resource will also provide leadership and oversight for all human resources functions and programs including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resources function and performance.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
Inform the budget process regarding all HR matters including, but not limited to, salaries and wages, benefits, training and other employee programs, and manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resources Department.
Develop, maintain and assure compliance with appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the corporation.
Lead continuous improvement to enhance HR value proposition and establish data metrics.
Actively participates as a member of the executive team on strategic business direction of the organization.
Conducts ongoing analysis of all personnel and HR policies, programs, and practices.
Oversees and promotes recruitment plans that build talent and reduce turnover.
Bachelor's degree or equivalency in work experience or education required. Master's Degree a plus
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in Human Resources
SPHR or PHR preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Ability to travel to various locations as needed
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with others.
Experience implementing HRIS systems is preferred
Experience successfully optimizing systems (i.e. ADP Payroll, Kronos Workforce)
Ability to interact and collaborate with senior management and build relationships accordingly
