AnchorFree is seeking a Vice President of Consumer (Mobile) Engineering with the technical depth and breadth to manage mobile, desktop and web teams for a family of consumer security and privacy products.This role reports directly to the SVP of Engineering and is a great opportunity to lead the teams responsible for improving and adding to the AnchorFree portfolio of consumer products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead mobile (iOS and Android), Desktop (Windows and MacOS), Consumer Web (website and consumer back-end) teams for AnchorFree's portfolio of products

  • Partner closely with infrastructure, product, marketing, UI/UX and R&D teams to build and improve consumer products downloaded over 700 million times

  • Work with senior engineers, leads and managers to help create common shared architecture across product lines as well as building pluggable components

  • Work closely with the data/analytics infrastructure and teams to experiment and iterate quickly
    fluence company-wide technology decisions as a member of our engineering leadership team

  • Influence quality and productivity improvements through development of new and improved procedures, process innovations, training, and collaboration

  • Fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation and collaboration.

  • Providing technical leadership and grow technical leaders within the team

  • Hiring technical staff and managing individual performance

  • Actively taking on mentoring responsibilities.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

AnchorFree is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Consumer (Mobile) Engineering who has a proven track record of managing mobile, desktop and web teams. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have strong organization and communication skills, good business sense, experience with software business and development processes, and a strong track record delivering world-class consumer products.

Your qualifications should include:

  • BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE

  • 7+ years of engineering experience building mobile/desktop as well as and consumer web products

  • Experience leading geographically distributed organizations of 30+ engineers and managers

  • 5+ years managing managers and members of a technology teams including QA

  • Experience with mobile automation frameworks

  • Experience using third 3 rd party tools for example (e.g.ex: for A/B testing, reporting, attribution and analytics)

  • Experience working in the consumer space

  • Strong and understand knowledge and experience of building applications and technology that delight and engage consumers and foster growth and retention.

  • Expertise in software engineering best practices: for coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations

  • Ability to dive into technical and architectural details at a granular level

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas within and across teams

  • Experience mentoring the next generation of engineering leaders in an organization

  • Highly energized with a passion for software craftsmanship

  • Ability to juggle priorities

What a Senior Engineering Manager does within EADP Social Division at EA: As a Senior Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of engineers in design, architecting, building and operating several of our social services. Most of your time will be spent working with and leading the team in the design and execution of new features, while continually optimizing performance, robustness, and scalability of the service. You will also spend time working with product managers to create new features to support EA's many games. As a people manager, you will be responsible for helping shape people's careers and mentor the team in growing and reaching their full potential. Responsibilities: * Build a world-class online services team as well as grow and guide your team members. * Roughly 50% hands-on coding - you can lead by example * Lead the technical design and architecture of major components in our large-scale distributed HTTP based backend service, creating new features and updating existing ones * Working with customers and business leaders to understand customer needs and delivering incrementally on their highest priority features and requirements. * Develop, test, and support your live services in production. You will own them, and good game experiences depend on your service performance and reliability.
