The Role

The VP, Marketing develops and implements a comprehensive B2B2C marketing strategy to meet strategic business goals. The role reports to the SVP, Communications, Marketing and Analytics for the Tax-Exempt Market business unit. and leads a team of eight B2C and B2B marketers located across 4 different regional sites. The team contributes to client growth & retention, client and participant satisfaction, and growing lifetime relationships for Fidelity!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 15+ years of overall work experience and 5+ years within Financial Services

  • 10 + years of marketing leadership experience

  • 2 + years managing teams of 5 or more professionals

  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses upfront but may be acquired within first 90 days of employment

  • Understanding of 401(k) and 403(b) plans a plus

  • Significant experience developing digital marketing channels, crafting strategic plans and meeting business targets.

  • B2B and B2C marketer who understands that client first methodology leads to better outcomes for all

  • Influences strategic planning and product/service delivery collaborating with large, complex clients to promote adoption of Fidelity solutions to meet their needs; translating plans into impactful and measurable actions

  • Builds relationships with business partners to resolve end-to-end process issues. Strong organizational navigator that can champion and influence initiatives and tackle complex problems

  • Proven leader in cultivating a vibrant and inclusive team environment; attract, retain and developing talent

  • Uses data-driven insights and a deep understanding of paid, earned, and owned marketing channels and efficient mix to develop strategies and programs that will drive client engagement and spark employees to take action.

  • Optimizes B2B/B2C marketing initiatives with across Fidelity's personal and workplace lines of business; build point of view on plan sponsor and participant marketing efficiency for our partners and leadership.

  • Establishes relationships across highly matrixed organization to align with and leverage cross company efforts, influencing others to prioritize and support Tax Exempt initiative when needed.

  • Brings innovative ideas to the team & business proactively and is willing to try new things and lead broad-based initiatives.

  • Recruits, leads and develops a strong team; provides continuous feedback and formal reviews during quarter and year-end review cycles.

  • Builds cases for additional investment into marketing team and programs

  • Reviews key performance indicator metrics and trends to adjust plans as needed to ensure efforts are having desired impact, drive action plans and holds teams accountable for results.

The Team

The Analytics, Marketing & Communications team is within Fidelity's Tax-Exempt Market business unit where we serve nonprofit employers and their employees. These organizations are mission- driven and strive to provide their employees, who frequently serve others, with benefits programs that support their evolving needs. The VP, Marketing works closely with our sales organization, client-facing teams and internal partners to inform the development of strategies and programs to engage prospects, strengthen relationships with clients, and engage employees to take action with their workplace benefits.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
