GENERAL SUMMARY

The VP, Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for identifying and assessing operational risks throughout all Loan Operations departments; and working with department managers to develop strategies and processes to minimize or eliminate them. Will coordinate and lead various internal processes including Enterprise Risk Assessment, Business Continuity, Vendor Management, and other risk-related initiatives. Additionally, will provide leadership to and manage the Quality Control team responsible for the review of loan servicing activities. Planning, organizing, directing, tracking, and controlling the efforts and resources of various moderate to large scope loan operations projects. Support the delivery of solutions that improve everyday business processes, meet set objectives, and solve business problems within an agreed upon schedule.

Quality Control team consisting of 5-6 team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Management of the Quality Control team ensuring timely and accurate review of loan servicing activities, including the development of procedures, implementation of process improvements, recruitment, and training.

  • Provide cross training on department functions to increase staff skillset and knowledge in support of staff promotions, transfers, or absences.

  • Identify, review, and make recommendations on key risks and control issues.

  • Coordinate the completion of the annual Enterprise Risk Assessments for all Loan Operations teams.

  • Develop and maintain appropriate Business Continuity Programs across Loan Operations teams.

  • Coordinate annual Vendor Management reviews, including analyzing risks and controls, site visits, and onboarding for all Loan Operations teams.

  • Conduct reviews of Loan Operations processes to identify risks and recommend remediation.

  • Plan and manage projects of a moderate to large scope. Prepare, monitor, and control project plans including scheduling, resources, and other operational concerns.

  • Provide direction for assigned projects. Direct responsibility for handling concurrent projects ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope.

  • Make recommendations and participate in special assignments or short-term projects.

  • Evaluate and develop process improvement, deployment of automation and efficiency in the support of Loan Operations initiatives. Work with Bank stakeholders to evaluate and implement initiatives and efficiencies in support of the Bank's strategic directives.

  • Analyze processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, design solutions and implement changes to increase efficiency and workflow.

  • Direct and ensure compliance with various regulatory, investor, governmental, and corporate requirements.

  • Ensure exceptional internal and external quality customer service.

  • Participate in compliance, audit, and other related enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain service level standards for team with metric reporting and accountability measures.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of positions (subordinates through senior managers).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • College degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum seven years of managing a loan operations, loan documentation and/or loan servicing team/department.

  • Project management experience preferred.

Skills/Ability:

  • Strong leadership and staff management skills including performance management and establishing job requirements and expectations.

  • Detail-oriented and accurate; ability to make sound recommendations to improve workflow; PC proficient; thorough knowledge and understanding of commercial loans.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills; strong personal attributes to complete goals and resolve issues in a changing environment.

  • Highly proficient in all of Microsoft Office Suite.

OTHER DETAILS

$120K - $150K / year

Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
