This position will play a key strategic and transformative role that excels in leadership and is responsible for ensuring the alignment of data, digital, core, and technological resources to achieve the Bank's strategic and operational objectives. This role is a key change agent, focused on driving technological efforts in support of continuing process improvements, directed towards improving the client experience.

The VP, Information Technology is responsible for collaborating in the development of strategic business plans and deployment of company technology, digital, core, and infrastructure in support of those plans. Moreover, the individual ensures the development and management of a recurring set of spending plans for technology and digital investment. The VP will work closely with management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Finally, the individual will act as the liaison between technology and core vendors, in addition to overseeing the Bank's Vendor Management program.

What Will Be Your Key Accountabilities?

  • Ensure the strategic and operational effectiveness of all technologies, hardware, software, third-party applications, and peripherals required for the Bank and our clients to conduct business efficiently and meet their key results.

  • Develop and lead effective and productive working relationships with user departments, senior managers, and vendors. Communicate effectively and regularly to ensure all audiences are informed with appropriate information/updates at the appropriate level for their understanding of systems issues.

  • Work with key stakeholders to conduct ongoing needs analyses of current and future technologies. This includes collaborating with stakeholders in IT Steering to improve the accessibility and completeness of all client-impacting systems and collaborating to identify projects to be considered for implementation. Will develop and implement short and long-range plans.

  • Ensure risk is mitigated appropriately through ongoing vendor analysis, security reviews, performing risk assessments, etc. Makes timely associated recommendations and follows through as needed. Ensures effective Business Continuity measures are in place for high availability of technology for employees and clients.

  • Ensure the preparation and management of technology strategic and operating plans, including operational budgets and forecasts.

  • Prepare reports and/or presentations for Senior Leadership, Committee's such as IT Steering, and the Board of Directors, and attend meetings as needed.

  • Oversee audits and exams and provide required information, requested materials and responses timely.

  • Work with external vendor on safeguarding networks against unauthorized access.

  • Chairperson for the Bank's IT Steering Committee providing direction, project management and coordination between departments on IT related projects.

  • Spearhead core and infrastructure Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery exercises. Schedule and ensure participation in all required testing.

  • Work closely with all applicable departments to identify business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, and implementations.

  • Monitor IT tickets to ensure progress and successful closure.

  • Provide onsite technology support, including trouble shooting remote access and other access or application issues.

  • Provide advanced in-house technical support and coordinate with external vendor.

  • Research, recommend, and/or purchase cost effective equipment solutions.

  • Administrator for various applications including upgrades, but not limited to Fiserv Premier, Integrated Teller, and other 3rd party applications.

  • Review and monitor core system, infrastructure, and network security reporting.

  • Oversee the Bank's Vendor Management program.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience of similar or related experience.

  • Experience with Fiserv Premier and Integrated Teller preferred.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction from supervisor.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; good organizational, research and follow-up skills.

  • Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.

  • Ability to work successfully in a deadline driven, team environment.

  • Capability of working well independently and as part of a team and exercising appropriate level of authority commensurate with experience and responsibility.
