We are seeking influential thought leaders to diversify our thoughts/approach on how to transform the way healthcare is delivered and financed. This role will significantly impact this enterprise business of over $30B in sales revenue and retention by pioneering innovative distribution models and driving growth across the sales organization.
This high visibility role will partner with other senior leaders across the organization, bringing experienced leadership and ground-breaking reconstruction to our sales delivery channels. Healthcare experience is not necessary but the ability to articulate and drive radical changes is.
The Head of Distribution Strategy will be accountable for the distribution and sales strategies of the Commercial Markets, encompassing our Small Group, Middle Market, Public & Labor, Large Group and PEO (Professional Employer Organizations) segments. S/He will bring tight alignment on the go-to-market strategy with matrixed accountability.
The successful candidate brings enthusiastic transformation leadership who will embrace and re-envision our rapidly evolving delivery model. This role oversees Sales Strategy & Enablement, continuously improving efficiencies and outcomes for sales strategy, analytics and enablement tools.
Location: Preference is a location in the Northeast, but other locations will be considered.
Sets, shapes and leads the direct-to-consumer distribution strategy for the Commercial segments/businesses that includes driving annual revenue through the Customized Communications Group (CCG) that supports external customer communication strategies
Drives collaboration and assignment of resources to effectively implement new strategies and products based on team role of operating as experts for respective distribution channels, includes maintaining awareness of industry, company, competitor, legislative and regulatory activities
Oversees the development and management of strategic partnerships with outside vendors, employers and associations that include driving annual revenue
Leads the development of direct to employer channels by leveraging existing employer groups (i.e. The National Broker Advisory Council) and facilitates B2B partnerships that will create new opportunities to distribute Aetna's products
Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with other business areas such as Consumer Health & Services that is required to solve business issues and support distribution related initiative requirements
Oversight and leadership of third party exchange strategies, including relationship/program management with external consultant and broker firms; and execution of these channel opportunities that will drive revenue growth
Creates channel performance metrics and management dashboard
Strong focus on development, retention and recruitment of top talent.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
