Responsible for operationalizing product development within the Product and Pricing Strategy Group (PPSG) which develops and manages PennyMac's product portfolio. Primary duties include establishing new processes and developing enterprise-wide tools to evaluate current state product-related initiatives as well as enable high-level product strategy decisions. Will lead the cross-functional product development organization and ensure effective administration and coordination for the timely release of new product introductions as well as changes to existing products and programs offered to meet market demands and overall strategic product development goals. Participates with department leadership in analyses for product comparisons and pricing strategies across product lines.

Job Description

  • Proactively interfaces across departments and/or divisions to develop and manage complex projects or programs including defining project scope, objectives, processes, methodologies, schedules, budgets, high-level deliverables, and business results.

  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders across the enterprise to continually monitor project performance and guide project activities to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, implementing corrective solutions and improvements as needed and appropriate

  • Thoughtfully define and communicate project goals, requirements, and constraints

  • Measure key performance results and deliver effective presentations to executive management

  • Manage the product development process from conception through design, planning, execution, release

  • Be a partner to front-line leaders and employees as processes are redefined

  • Escalate critical issues or misalignments that may jeopardize product development timelines or success to executive management

  • Suggest and lead changes in the organization to advance the company's product strategy

  • Leads efforts to leverage technology resources to increase efficiency, contain costs, and improve business unit results

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Financial Services and/or mortgage industry experience

  • Self-driven, with strong innovation and change orientation

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Strong project management skills, prioritization of resources across multiple projects

  • Ability to problem-solve and prioritize independently

  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently

  • Proficient in Excel and Word

In this role you will: * Employ customer insights and business acumen to guide the product vision through challenging decision and trade-off points * Work cross functionally with sales, marketing, design and engineering teams in developing new products * Create and maintain requirements documents that provide clear definition for the product creation team, and baseline documents for effective product manuals and support documentation * Define the functionality, interfaces, aesthetics, and features of new products – all the way from the high-level user experience down to the smallest details * Lead and manage the product business case * Work directly with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies as well as content to support new product introduction across sales regions * Perform ongoing product, competitor and market research through participation in industry events, store visits, surveys, journals, sales evaluations, and industry trends Key Qualifications: For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team: * A passion for leading the creation of physical products in the consumer electronics industry and 5+ years of product management experience alongside a product development team * Demonstrated track record of success in defining, leading and launching new products * Ability to understand real user needs, identifying new opportunities, defining compelling value propositions, and translating into concrete product requirements * Ready to own all aspects of the product, into the details – we are a small team so expect a wide span of tasks * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively across time zones and cultures using various communication tools * Be responsible, dependable, self-motivated, detail oriented, and comfortable as a vital team member in a small, rapidly growing company In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include: * Experience with consumer audio products, computer peripherals, or devices for the gaming market a big plus * Great if you have "golden ears", i.e. critical listening skills * Valuable understanding of consumer marketing and sales channels, ideally on a global level Logitech is the sweet spot for people who are passionate about products, making a mark, and having fun doing it.
