Job Summary:

Provide overall leadership to the technical/engineering community within Avnet that fosters an environment of innovation resulting in enhanced value to Avnet and its suppliers and customers. Drive global technical capabilities, develop a product development mentality for the organization and translate technology into revenue Such activities may include any of the following as well as other duties as assigned:

Principal Responsibilities:

Demonstrate excellent leadership skills as evidenced by a strong track record of: hiring, retaining, developing and motivating top-tier technical talent, whether internal or external to the organization

  • Provide leadership through setting the technical strategy, developing priorities and managing operational efficiencies

  • Enhance the business acumen within the technical community to help drive decision making and best use of resources

  • Responsible for designing, developing and implementing integrated strategies for selected technologies

  • Partner with the commercial side of the business to align demand creation efforts to help drive increased revenue and margin

  • Drive revenue and growth opportunities, ensuring financial objectives are met

  • Identify opportunities across the technical landscape to monetize and drive greater value to Avnet

  • Identify and develop strategic business partnerships to expand the company's IoT design, solutions and services offerings

  • Analyze and evaluate potential acquisitions that will improve financial and operating performance

Job Level Specifications:

  • An in-depth knowledge of business financial requirements and measurements

  • Demonstrated operational leadership excellence in a high visibility, high business impact position with the business acumen to develop short and long range plans to meet market and financial targets

  • Demonstrated successful operations knowledge and skill in business evaluation, workforce planning, budgets and related functions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills suitable for effectively managing the outcome of critical interaction with people at all organizational levels within and outside of the company

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and develop leadership and other operational skill sets of a strong, diverse team

Work Experience:

  • Twelve years of directly related successful business experience in progressively more responsible positions that demonstrates a senior level operational expertise in the successful identification, development and deployment of business solutions across the targeted marketplace.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor degree in Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experiences Certification in Lean/Kaizen Master or other Change Management, Project Management

Job Description As a Commercial Card Relationship Manager, you will identify, plan and implement payables strategies for client growth, product cross sell and retention. You will cultivate strong relationships with the clients in your assigned portfolio and work with internal partners to resolve product and service issues. The incumbent in this position will have demonstrated proficiency in account management and full knowledge of the product line and its applications. The RM establishes plans for maintaining major account relationships and meeting assigned targets and goals within the portfolio, establishes and builds strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation reinforced by sales support/delivery programs, and communicates to other relevant company functions/divisions. The RM participates, with other account managers and sales management, to develop sales strategies for accounts, helps identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organization-wide sales strategy. The RM is responsible for maintaining satisfactory customer satisfaction levels for all accounts in assigned portfolio, monitors competitor activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and executed. Position Description: In the role of Commercial Card (CC) Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of approximately 20-25 Commercial Bank – Gov't., Higher Education, Healthcare & Not for Profit Tier 1 (accounts with $10MM+ in annual spend) commercial card clients. Your primary objective is the management of the contract lifecycle to ensure volume growth, full product placement, client retention, and to lead clients and business partners through change management activity. * Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred * 5+ years of experience in Relationship Management (Commercial Card industry preferred) * Demonstrable track record evidencing an exceptional client experience with measurable results and the ability to proactively build relationships and trust with clients * Experience in successfully managing multiple client relationships concurrently * Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to C-Level executives * Ability to work independently with little professional guidance * Proven ability to innovate, problem solve, and develop customized solutions to client issues and challenges * Excellent selling, influencing and negotiation skills * 5 years of experience in the business to business sales environment with a documented track record of success and top performance * Strong ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with multiple levels of the organization (internally and externally).
