The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and results driven finance leader to make positive, impactful change at a high tech solution oriented organization. The VP of Global Financial Planning and Analysis will manage a team to drive the FP&A function of a rapidly growing, global organization while improving upon existing processes. The right person will apply knowledge and expertise to lead all financial matters and be able to lead in the identification and evolution of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial planning process for the group, including budgeting, strategic and operational planning, forecasting, strategic projects, monthly/quarterly/annual results at Group level

  • Maintain and evolve a complex financial model that governs Dematic's operating plan and long-range projections including detailed analysis to support those projections

  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial performance including opportunities, sales performance, profitability trends and business direction

  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management

  • Working with the Finance Executive Leadership Team refine the monthly financial reporting package and lead the execution of this important monthly deliverable

  • Implement new financial procedures to advance budget variance analysis and close visibility gap

  • Support the financial assessment, presentation and approval process for large, multi-departmental projects

  • Manage and refine the development and execution of monthly and quarterly earnings analysis and presentations focused on the internal operations of Dematic

  • Leverage close working relationships with the regional finance teams of Dematic to develop a global approach and perspective for the financial management of Dematic

  • Lead the interaction with the Controlling and FP&A team at the KION Group level and drive the integration on the finance side with KION Group

  • Partner with accounting to refine department and accounting expense structure with end goal of providing department leaders and senior management with enhanced insight into the financial and operational management of Dematic and its functions

  • Build, develop and mentor a team of financial managers and analysts

  • Lead FP&A team in working with senior Dematic management to develop and refine key assumptions for corporate expenses, capital expenditures, subscriber retention and appropriate staffing requirements

What We Are Looking For

Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Senior level finance, controlling and accounting experience in a complex high tech business with a global workforce

  • 10+ years of directly applicable finance or accounting experience in a progressive, fast paced environment

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business

  • Master's Degree and CPA preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence others outside and across the organizational structure including Dematic Group executive leadership, to build meaningful relationships, and to drive for results across functional lines

  • Ability to innovate and create strategies that significantly improve financial practices that enable the organization achieve business results

  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills for budgeting and forecasting combined with a strong attention to detail and the ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems

  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system a plus but not required

  • Knowledge of INFOR, Host or a similar reporting/consolidation tool a plus (e.g. Hyperion)

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations from government or other control bodies that impact the financial practices of the organization
