SUMMARY

The VP, Editorial Strategy will drive Hallmark Media's SVOD business through insightful collaboration and a clear understanding of growing market share with a well-known brand. The VP will own and cultivate a programming strategy through calculated risk-taking, a test and refine mindset, and a strong desire to bring a best-in-class customer experience through the programmatic lens.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with SVOD leadership in developing holistic content strategy, overseeing content spend allocation by content genre/type, and ensuring ROI against KPIs.

  • Creates in-depth valuation models formulating clear recommendations/analysis to assist with decision making.

  • Identifies recommendations to refine the slate for Film and TV - including deal analysis, licensing/acquisitions evaluation, and Original content commissioning.

  • Partners with finance to develop overall content pro formas taking input from multiple teams including content analytics and marketing.

  • Develop targets for content based on MAAs, Usage, Upgrade rates, and brand KPIs working closely with analytics and research.

  • Compiles post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Develops presentations for the organization to inform leadership on content strategy, performance, and new opportunities for growth/investment.

  • Drives ad hoc requests with thoughtful, diligent business case analysis in coordination with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in insights, analytics, strategy, or similar type role.

  • Prior experience with Media, entertainment, Direct to Consumer, or Streaming business.

  • Bachelor's degree or additional training in Business Analytics, Marketing, or other relevant quantitative fields.

The salary range for this job is between $153,600- $213,300. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
