Purpose of Position-

The Regional Vice President, Operations and Development is the market leader who sets the pace with their team to execute the strategic market plan and drive results. They translate the business strategy into day to day responsibilities providing direction and coaching for each of their Directors on both Operations and Construction and Development matters, while removing barriers and ensuring best practices are shared. They collaborate with and influence broader business units and build strong relationships with their franchisee leaders. The RVP ensures each of their teams upholds the standards of the brand while enhancing guest satisfaction and franchisee profitability through consistent operations and development of new locations. The incumbent will lead their team to ensure effective business planning, restaurant excellence through continual evaluation and coaching, and building effective relationships through mutual trust and respect.

What You'll Be Working On-

  • Lead by supporting the team, assuming good intentions, championing ideas, taking responsibility, and trying new things

  • Prioritize appropriately based on business imperatives; identify what is urgent and what is important

  • Coach Directors on leading their teams through restaurant success criteria as well as development goals through effective action planning, assessing, and recovering

  • Demonstrate authenticity, vulnerability, active listening, awareness, and acceptance

  • Through self-awareness and personal learning, address gaps between current leadership and required competencies and take initiative to engage the organization on building skills

  • Lead the team to increase franchisee accountability through analysis of their business and engagement towards restaurant excellence; ensure alignment between franchisor and franchisee

  • Develop franchisee capability through partnership, education, and coaching

  • Maintain focus on guest satisfaction, sales growth and franchisee profitability

  • Facilitate achievement of common goals through leadership of cross functional market team and collaboration across the organization

  • Clearly communicate goals and the strategies that will facilitate achievement of goals and build strong relationships

  • Demonstrate competency in a fast paced, consumer brand organization, growing through changes in markets, concepts, and raising the bar in performance and results

  • Apply knowledge and learning of business functions in the marketplace to include retail, operations, construction, development, marketing, accounting, sales, human resources, supply chains, margins, etc.

  • The continuous improvement and monitoring of Development Procedures by providing feedback and guidance to the Development Services Department Ensure that all procedures and policies are adhered by the Development Team as it pertains to data collection, data entry and timely submittal of all development related documents, GDT updates and proximity impact materials

What You'll Need-

  • 10-15 years restaurant or retail management experience with multi-unit market or business unit leadership experience

  • Experience in development involving franchisees

  • 5+ years leading a development organization in a retail or quick service restaurant environment

  • Strategic thinking to creatively manage a dynamic environment

  • Knowledge of all real estate and development management principles associated with multi-unit, franchisee driven development

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Presentation skill and computer skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Prior effective experience in influencing, directing and leading a team to achieve business objectives and provide customer support
