Job Overview:

Building a client-centric culture is critical to the LPL Financial framework. Culture and Inclusion plays a major role in how we succeed together as an organization. The VP of Culture and Inclusion will be responsible for driving programs, initiatives, and services in partnership with our lines of business, as well as, mobilizing internal networks to champion our culture. This position is mission critical to connecting the dots between departmental and enterprise efforts.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the areas of change management, process improvement, learning delivery, and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as subject matter expert and credible advisor on culture, engagement, and employee-centric programs that elevate the employee experience and support high company growth

  • Advance employee and leadership capabilities/behaviors that support the evolution of our culture, mission and values

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify and apply best practices to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and employee engagement operational plans across the firm

  • Partner across Human Resources to ensure LPL's culture and DEIB is ingrained in all employee systems such as performance management, rewards and recognition, learning and development, and career mobility

  • Act as a change agent, identifying adoption barriers and mitigating risks, while providing empathetic thought leadership

Operational/Execution Focus:

  • Proven leadership skills, initiative, ability to identify tasks and develop plans, and able to identify risks that could have a material impact on the Company's culture and engagement

  • Understands and is able to implement a framework that directly ties into the organization's management framework and business goals

  • Ensure communications regarding culture and inclusion efforts are on-brand and in alignment with the firm's overall goals

  • Ensure that the strategic direction of the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) is being followed and:

  • Is in alignment with company goals

  • Is being measured and impact is being reported out

  • Is modeled for sustainability

Fact Based and Analytical Decision Making:

  • Execution-oriented, utilizes 'fact based' decision-making; delivers repeatable, sustainable results

  • Able to view and analyze data, looking for key trends, insights and themes, and hone in on that data set to inform decision making and develop solutions that drive inclusive behaviors and cross-cultural competence

  • Proven ability and skill set to understand and leverage data and data analytics, and to make recommendations, decisions, and fact-based presentations

  • Able to effectively communicate results to employees and leaders at all levels

Transformational Leadership:

  • Passion to drive change across a multi-faceted organization, building capabilities and mindsets that support the evolution of our culture

  • Able to see both opportunities for improvement, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness

  • Willingness and ability to continuously improve the culture, engagement and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging programs as business and organizational needs evolve

  • Seeks out, leverages and incorporates diverse perspectives; identifies new ways to approach a problem; an excellent listener who gathers data and feedback for consideration as an integral and key part of decision making

  • Proven track record of leading successful operations' areas and building relationships across the organization

  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively to various levels throughout the organization through daily interaction with Senior Management across LPL

  • Benchmark efforts against other companies and organizations considered to be leaders in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) and recommending areas for improvement, training workforce to emphasize culturally competent working relationships, and provide leadership to diversity initiatives

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of people leadership experience across several disciplines, including, but not limited to; human resources, process improvement, project management, and operations.

  • 5+ years' experience in change management or running transformational type programs.

  • 8+ years' experience administering and creating pragmatic actions from employee listening surveys.

  • 7+ years' experience consulting with HR business partners.

Preferences:

  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on presentation skills

  • Experience leading and motivating direct reports and cross-functional team and influencing others outside of direct reporting relationship

  • Ability to excel in a deadline driven, high-risk based environment, oversee and enforce firm and regulatory requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented, and dynamic environment

  • Ability to lead and inspire through influence

  • Ability to execute on strategic and programmatic deliverables with internal business partners and stakeholders

Pay Range:

$123,200-$184,800/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
