The VP of Corporate Events will create and oversee all customer and partner events to ensure they're done professionally and provide great value to customers, resulting in a higher renewal rate. The purpose would be to engage all customers to make them feel even more part of the family while adding value ASAP. This position would be responsible for the creation and managing of 12 events per year from start to finish, including KB4-CON.
In coordination with Marketing, Channel, and Customer Success. determine a schedule for customer and partner events as well as a pre-event calendar of all major deliverables needed and when they are needed by including venue, promotional schedule, website, etc.
Develop and curate event content in alignment with what is needed from the customer and partner by survey. This could be general cybersecurity, discussing the current cyber threat landscape, defense in depth, panels, roundtable discussions, uses of the platform, or AMA's with our evangelists, etc. Ensure this is in alignment with corporate PR & Marketing.
Create detailed program for all events, including agenda timelines, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets
Create and manage budget and approvals
Research and secure venue locations and all logistics to put on a successful event
Liaise with Marketing or outside contractors for invitation design, signage, event agendas, and event badges, etc.
Search out, coordinate, and schedule event speakers,subject matter experts and entertainment
Responsible for the promotion of the events to the CSM teams and messaging for the team to use when promoting to customers (and customers in coordination with Marketing)
Be the main point of contact for event staff
Emcee all events
Manage on-site logistics with venue staff including menus, entertainment, lighting, sound, schedules for access and on site storage, event giveaway storage, on-site equipment storage, 24 hour security for Kevin's equipment etc.
Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders (suggest naming the areas) like Channel being included, contests etc.
Responsible for obtaining customer feedback from the sessions and overall events and using the data for further planning
Manage relationships with venues, outside speakers, and subject matter experts including all contract negotiations, financial approvals, transport and VIP accommodations
Determine and secure speaker gifts for event speakers, Tier 1 and Tier 2
In coordination with SVP CS Global, ensure tracking customer registration
Stay up to date on direction of cybersecurity, new threats in the wild, pain points to security, industry standards, etc.
Utilize a multi-use platform for hybrid events that includes event registration, verification process, mapping tool, polling, schedule, app for onsite use and that can be used for on-demand after the event
Develop multiple tracks for conferences for customers, enterprise, SMB, partners, VIPs, labs
Develop venue layout, food menu (food and beverage guarantees), and specialized dinners/onsite snacks
Coordinate with IT for onsite IT needs
Coordinate the staff of events and get prior HR approval for these staff to attend
College Degree or equivalent
At least 4 years experience working in the IT industry and/or event management
Excellent communication skills
Excellent public speaking skills
Fluent in GSuite applications
Fluent in the use of Zoom, and webinar/virtual meeting applications
Working knowledge of other service-oriented roles, including space management, audio/visual, decor and entertainment, signage, housing, and speaker management
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Highly skilled in managing relationships with customers, executives, IT industry employees, etc
