Customers Bank, the fastest growing bank in the U.S., has an immediate opening for a VP Commercial Relationship Manager located in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager is a revenue-producing member of the Banking Group. He/she is responsible for supporting the daily management of the overall Group's clients and has direct oversight over a portfolio of those clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing new clients and cross-selling to the Group's existing ones. Product responsibility will include credit, deposit products, and cash management. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will provide tactical support to the Banking Group Head in the form of supporting calling efforts, originating, structuring, and closing credit facilities, providing operational support, onboarding new clients, liaising with Credit and Operations, portfolio management and performing due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall client relationship management with existing clients on a daily basis

  • Oversee a portfolio of middle market, real estate, commercial and high net worth clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned

  • Provide credit knowledge and support underwriting efforts for existing clients

  • Source new borrowing and deposit clients and cross-sell to existing ones

  • Support/lead calling and networking efforts

  • Provide operational and systems assistance, if needed

  • Onboard new clients

  • Liaise with the Credit & Operations teams

Qualifications

  • 5-15 years of relevant banking experience

  • Ability to sell and structure credit requests of $1-$20mil for working capital, term lending, owner occupied real estate and investment real estate

  • Cash management and deposit services product knowledge

  • Proven track record of developing client relationships and deep COI/referral network

  • Relationship management experience in a commercial, business banking, real estate, or private banking background

  • Self-starter capable of working under limited direct supervision

  • Results- oriented persona

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge of banking and credit products

  • Team player willing to go to lengths to provide best possible client experience

  • Direct credit experience/responsibility or formal credit training preferred

  • MS Office Suite

  • Salesforce & Adobe knowledge preferred

We believe in G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E. - Gritty, Responsible, Assertive, Trustworthy, Inquisitive, Teamwork, Urgency, Dependable, Empathetic Essential Duties/Responsibilities * Develop and implement the territory sales plan to target clients (referral sources) for growth, in line with the company vision, mission and values * Develop target lists in selected segments that match our value proposition and maximize growth potential in a sales territory * Develop relationships while building trust and credibility with potential and existing referral sources * Continue prospecting; cold calling, following-up on leads and referrals & contacting new offices and personnel of existing customers * Manage client inquiries and provide customer service in a manner to minimize account attrition and reduction in referrals * Set up and attend appointments; meet clients after business hours, if and when necessary * Follow up on all sales activity through telephone, written and personal contact and customer billing procedures * Analyze current customer base, local market & economic conditions, and primary competitors * Meet sales and performance goals * Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and follow-up * Actively participate in all team calls/meetings and training * Support vendor programs * Develop and maintain accurate & complete customer files, to enable easy tracking of account progress * Ensure total compliance with all company policies and values and government regulations * Manage expenses to maximize return on investment/spend money like it's your own * Complete all administrative tasks (such as CRM log notes) on time with high quality and accuracy * Maintain knowledge of Mammoth operations and the mitigation, restoration and repair industry * Analyze the utilization of our CRM and other data tools to develop and execute action plans to increase referrals * Make 15+ field (Face-to-face) visits on potential and existing clients 5 days per week Why Mammoth?
