The VP Commercial Relationship Manager is a revenue-producing member of the Banking Group. He/she is responsible for supporting the daily management of the overall Group's clients and has direct oversight over a portfolio of those clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing new clients and cross-selling to the Group's existing ones. Product responsibility will include credit, deposit products, and cash management. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will provide tactical support to the Banking Group Head in the form of supporting calling efforts, originating, structuring, and closing credit facilities, providing operational support, onboarding new clients, liaising with Credit and Operations, portfolio management and performing due diligence.
Support overall client relationship management with existing clients on a daily basis
Oversee a portfolio of middle market, real estate, commercial and high net worth clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned
Provide credit knowledge and support underwriting efforts for existing clients
Source new borrowing and deposit clients and cross-sell to existing ones
Support/lead calling and networking efforts
Provide operational and systems assistance, if needed
Onboard new clients
Liaise with the Credit & Operations teams
5-15 years of relevant banking experience
Ability to sell and structure credit requests of $1-$20mil for working capital, term lending, owner occupied real estate and investment real estate
Cash management and deposit services product knowledge
Proven track record of developing client relationships and deep COI/referral network
Relationship management experience in a commercial, business banking, real estate, or private banking background
Self-starter capable of working under limited direct supervision
Results- oriented persona
Excellent communication skills
Strong foundational knowledge of banking and credit products
Team player willing to go to lengths to provide best possible client experience
Direct credit experience/responsibility or formal credit training preferred
MS Office Suite
Salesforce & Adobe knowledge preferred
