What we are looking for:

The Vice President will have a unique opportunity act as a leader in building a new functions and team within a rapidly growing organization. Teladoc Health operates in multiple markets, each presenting an opportunity for the Vice President to oversee >$100M of revenue in a commercial strategy and operations capacity. There will be broad involvement in and ownership of all global commercial activities at Teladoc Health, including work with our offices around the world where we deliver services in 130+ countries and 30+ languages.

The Vice President will own a balance of internally and externally facing responsibilities, with significant exposure to clients and markets. Healthy mix of setting our global strategy (product, sales, market) and day-to-day operational execution. Key emphasis on leadership role in standardization & optimization our internal process. Vice President will be expected to have direct and regular interactions with our clients, particularly as it relates to working with the sales organization to close opportunities.

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership & vision required to execute on external and internal strategies (e.g., externally facing go to market initiatives & leader on internal roadmap for range of business processes)

  • Owner of the global commercial P&L (sales, CM, product, B2B marketing, etc.) working directly with the President and other members of leadership. Responsible for informing a range of critical decisions, including hiring, compensation & various investments

  • Active role in continuous improvement of complex processes, including implementation of Six Sigma and automation best practices using critical business systems

  • Establish, standardize and continually enhance all commercial reporting; Must be able to direct builds using key tools such as Tableau; Lead new initiative to restructure our approach to commercial reporting

  • Establish new forecasting process w/ new CFO & team in the context of public company requirements

  • Range of ownership working closely with sales operations as it relates to business cadence, pipeline management, quota, territory, rules of engagement, monthly business reviews & deal desk

  • Channel strategy ownership pricing strategy and execution, management of partner relationships in conjunction with sales/client management

  • Work closely with Teladoc Health international offices to establish new commercial reporting & forecasting arrangements; Possibly to include tenure in Barcelona or other global offices

  • Responsible for broad range of training and communication to global commercial team (e.g., lead all-hands calls w/ sales and client management teams)

  • Emphasis on client exposure, namely in late stage meetings to assist in closing opportunities; Demonstrate senior leadership & composure required to negotiate deals directly with large channel partners, health plans, direct and other clients

  • Industry intelligence Execute financial, product, market, operational and other research to drive strategic and business planning within the various sales channels

  • Lead cost management initiatives as it relates to various operations (e.g., establish call center metrics for cost optimization)

  • Ownership of several components of the quote-to-cash cycle, including taking a leadership role in building tools for a new process in SMB market

  • Lead overall commission and compensation design for global commercial organization, including establishment of new sales compensation system

  • Support other special projects as needed (Investor relations, sales force optimization)

  • Key participant in M&A business diligence and capital markets activities

Requirements:

  • Combination of investment banking, private equity or principal investing experience; Must also additional experience in operating environment including managing direct reports

  • MBA or similar advanced degree from top tier institution

  • Proven experience with a range of commercial operating activities, for example: communicating regularly to global sales teams on strategic initiatives; training on new programs; managing incentive compensation; territory management; managing operating mechanics; ability to lead large cross-functional meetings

  • Enterprise-wide project management in commercial strategy & operations & related fields

  • Experience with and/or certification in process improvement and optimization (e.g., Six Sigma); Ability to scope and execute detailed processes

  • Ability to drive development of reporting capabilities; Experience migrating companies from Excel to automated reporting tools

  • Based in Purchase, New York corporate HQ with regular travel to domestic and international offices
