VP, Clinical Pharmacy Strategy For Health Plans

VP will own strategic planning, development and performance of clinically-based pharmacy products and health care programs.?? Unique opportunity to lead the development of innovative benefit designs and evaluate and improve on the clinical decision making aspects of the program.

  • Ensure strong clinical quality initiatives are delivered

  • Develop staff that are making clinical decisions affecting consumers

  • Direct the evaluation and analysis of pharmacy cost of care and trend management and recommend improvements

  • Lead the development of innovative benefit designs to promote adherence to care

  • Ensure Specialty Pharmacy products and services are aligned with overall business strategy for optimum revenue growth

  • Lead research and development of new quality improvement, health outcomes improvement, and market competitive, pharmacy-based products and services

  • Ensure operational goals and financial targets are met and/or exceeded to support of the organization?s mission

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships with company?s clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, internal departments and various stakeholders

  • Periodically consults with network pharmacies, pharmacists, regulatory agencies or other stake holders.

    Qualifications:
    - Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of clinical or operational pharmacy services experience

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmacy benefit management PBM - Strong understanding of contemporary clinical, operational, and regulatory pharmacy practices.

  • Thorough understanding of prescription benefit management programs and practices, contracting, products/services, cost structures, pricing, and business practices. Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in business Licenses/Certifications: Current state?s pharmacy license without restrictions preferred.
