Position Summary

We are seeking VP, Business Intelligence to lead Botrista’s Data Science & Analytics team.  A successful candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit, can engage clients with economic insights, and can drive strategic thinking into our evolving beverage solution for customers. The candidate will build, lead, and mentor a team that creates and leverages quantitative analysis to serve our customers, reduces costs across our supply chain and identifies business opportunities for expansion and growth.  This position is critical in hands-on delivery of case studies and provision of actionable insights and recommendations in order to drive high customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities

• Provide data and analytics studies to customers to inform menu decisions and beverage promotion options.
• Work cross functionally and foster relationships with key members of the Botrista management team as we leverage data to enhance business outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analytics members.
• Perform queries and develop metrics and frameworks to inform the scope, prioritization, and resourcing of initiatives.
• Possess a strong understanding of using data to tell stories, with a focus on quantitative business measures (LTV, ROI, etc.), and statistics (correlations, sample sizing)
• Set strategic goals and informed objectives for the overall company Business Intelligence team, aligned with company objectives.
• Develop accurate self-service reporting and data tools to empower data-driven decision-making at the team level.  Own this interface from a product perspective and provide recommendations to the engineering team on improvements
• Train the broader team on using data to determine the optimal path forward.
• Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor customer engagement and usage of our products/services, identifying additional revenue opportunities. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative related field
• 10+ years in Analytics and/or Business Intelligence with strong understanding of statistical models and the queries necessary to extract insights.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team with previous leadership experience
• Experience with an array of data visualization tools and reporting UIs
• Strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data to inform decision-making
• Some customer travel required 

Preferred Qualifications

• Food and Beverage or restaurant knowledge and experience a plus

Salary range

• The base salary range is $220,000 - $250,000/per year plus bonus. Base salary will be determined by level of experience.
