JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION:
CEVA Freight , LLC seeks Vice President Business Development for its Houston, TX office.
Lead a sales organization focused solely on the growth and development of the ocean business in North America, closely linked with the ocean product team and the field/MNC (Multi-National Company) sales teams. Own and drive the ocean pipeline to achieve required levels.
Provide education to the field and global sales with respect to the ocean product and capabilities. Provide leadership and direction to the Ocean Transportation sales and administrative staff to identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts that meet and exceed new business revenue goals. Own and drive the size, quality and accuracy of the overall pipeline for the ocean product.
Drive revenue by service type in line with sales strategy. Execute business development plans (forecasts, budgets and operating plans), and provide leadership to the sales and marketing staff, operations, and systems delivery groups. Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments as needed.
Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value. Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to customer needs. Leverage the company's global reach to influence decisions on projects for customer deliveries in both domestic and international locations.
Supervise Business Development Directors, Ocean to drive and close Ocean sales. Travel approx. 75% of the time in the US and internationally for corporate meetings, client meetings, negotiations and training.
PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related.
Must have 60 months of experience in an occupation related to Logistics Management. Experience must include 60 months in/with the following: Contract and Sales Negotiation; Business Development; Operations and Profit and Loss Management; Pricing Strategy; Ocean Freight Process Development and Implementation; Freight Forwarding and Gateway Operations; and Logistical Procurement.
ALTERNATE JOB REQUIREMENTS: In lieu of the Bachelor's degree and 60 months of experience in an occupation related to Logistics Management (Primary Job Requirements), employer will accept 84 months of experience in an occupation related to Logistics Management.
The 84 months of experience must include the following: Contract and Sales Negotiation; Business Development; Operations and Profit and Loss Management; Pricing Strategy; Ocean Freight Process Development and Implementation; Freight Forwarding and Gateway Operations; and Logistical Procurement.
