POSITION SUMMARY:
Processes voter registration and PennDOT bi-weekly reports. He/she issues, received, completes, proofreads, and processes all reports generated by PennDOT and PVRA. Applicants must be fully knowledgeable of PVRA to fill this position and perform other election duties. Applicants assist in the conduct of Elections.

Candidate Petitions
Fill Candidate Requests
Receive Campaign Expense
Knowledge of Operating Voting Machines
Knowledge of Polling Place Procedures
Non-Essential Functions
Review Daily work Reports
Counter and Phone Duty
Assembly Election Day Supplies
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School or equivalent, minimum of one-year experience in advanced typing and office practices including working with varied computer applications.
Ability to understand, comprehend and follow complex oral and written instructions and to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong computer skills (Word Perfect, Word).
Ability to type at a rate of 47 words per minute with 85% accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively and orally and in writing.
Knowledge of law as it pertains to County Government.
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with department personnel, government agencies, and elected officials.
Ability to handle stress.
Physical presence in the office is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, talk and hear.
The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a distance of 50 feet or less.
Ability to push and/or pull a cart of 50lbs or more.
Ability to use computers for extended periods of time.
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to deal with stressful situations.
Ability to perform repetitive motion for extended periods of time.
Ability to work mandated overtime (Election Day consist of a 15-18-hour workday).
