REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in related field such as public administration, communications, or public policy and 2+ years of experience working with volunteers, fundraising, or nonprofits OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 5+ years of experience working with volunteers, fundraising or nonprofits.
Experience in non-profit programs a plus.

Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Attendance at meetings, events, etc. as required. Some local travel required.

ABOUT THE ROLE: [This is a Grant Funded Position] The Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator will work closely with, and report to the VP of Development to establish and grow a robust organizational-wide volunteer and engagement program at Pittsburgh Mercy. This position will work on all aspects of the volunteer program including recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing individual and corporate volunteers. In addition, the Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator will support operations by enhancing program delivery through a creative lens that identifies opportunities for meaningful engagement that aligns with the interests of the volunteers and matching these with activities that support the individuals we serve. The Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator will assist with event planning and execution and support donor and volunteer engagement activities, as needed, to accomplish the Development Department's fundraising and outreach goals.
