Volunteer Coordinator (2024-2025) - Nichols Elementary

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Candidate must be able to recruit, coordinate, retain and show appreciation for volunteers.

Candidates must be able to recruit, train, recognize and monitor volunteers in roles that support NES staff, students and PTA events. The Volunteer Coordinator will serve as a link between the schools' volunteer needs, parent or community resources and as a liaison to the PTA.

Duties will also include: Identifying volunteer needs, greeting and enrolling volunteers, and tracking volunteer activity. Candidate must also have effective computer skills, and preferably be familiar with Google Chrome.

This position is for 3 hours per day and 170 student instructional days and 7 Bullitt Planning Days for a total of 177 days. (Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.)

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Salary based on the Board approved salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.

hours per day x hourly rate = daily rate

daily rate x contracted days = salary

salary / # of pays left = gross biweekly pay
