WHAT IS THE VOLUNTARY RELOCATION PROGRAM (VRP)? The Voluntary Relocation Program (VRP) is a negotiated process which affords current Bargaining Unit employees the opportunity to relocate to a Post of Duty (POD) to a position that is the same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. Relocation must be an exact position match, the program does not allow for promotion or change to lower grades.

Responsibilities

Applicants will ONLY be referred for positions that are same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. There is no promotion potential under the Voluntary Relocation Program. Applicants will ONLY be referred for locations which they wish to be considered. Applicants can request a copy of the position description if selected under this program.

Employees who apply after October 22,2018 will be considered following the next cutoff dates (July 22, 2019 through December 31, 2019). For more information, see Article 15, Section 6 of the 2019 National Agreement

Job Description Job Family Summary The Group Voluntary New Business team provides effective risk management in support of our corporate goals by evaluating, coordinating, setting up the new business systems administration, and underwriting the risk exposure at both the employer and employee levels for the Group Voluntary products for new and existing accounts. Job Summary Assists with the evaluation and underwriting of New and Existing Group Voluntary Employer Accounts and employee level enrollment applications to ensure proper setup of systems information and issue final master policies and amendments as required by Legal Compliance. Key Responsibilities * Creates and distributes Offer Letters notifying clients of underwriting approval requirements * Creates verbiage for non-standard eligibility, benefits, and premiums based on the employer's request * Creates and distributes the Master Policy and any additional amendments necessary for customer signatures using templates created by Legal Compliance * Analyzes and reviews new case documentation for accuracy and completion and determine case acceptance based upon participation or approval by Senior Management * Evaluates and reviews documentation for New and Existing Group Voluntary Cases to ensure information provided is complete and meet the basic underwriting requirements. Communicates and takes necessary action if documentation is not complete * Communicates discrepancies and carefully documents concerns with the Home Office employees, Agents or Employers * Communicates final decision to release or deny coverage based on pre-set requirements * Releases cases within pre-defined authority amounts as determined by Senior Management * Responsible for responding promptly to customer inquiries via telephone, letter, or e-mail * Maintains Profitability and Participation Reports for accessing cases Job Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience * High School diploma required, some college preferred * 3 years of prior Customer Service experience * Preferred technical skills: Experience using Case Management and Account Implementation Management systems * Experience in life and health insurance industry preferred * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong Analytical Skills * Ability to establish priorities and multi-task * Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook Level Guide: Please refer to the Allstate Level Guide on MyHR Knowledge Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
