WHAT IS THE VOLUNTARY RELOCATION PROGRAM (VRP)? The Voluntary Relocation Program (VRP) is a negotiated process which affords current Bargaining Unit employees the opportunity to relocate to a Post of Duty (POD) to a position that is the same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. Relocation must be an exact position match, the program does not allow for promotion or change to lower grades.

Responsibilities

Applicants will ONLY be referred for positions that are same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. There is no promotion potential under the Voluntary Relocation Program. Applicants will ONLY be referred for locations which they wish to be considered. Applicants can request a copy of the position description if selected under this program.

Employees who apply after October 22,2018 will be considered following the next cutoff dates (July 22, 2019 through December 31, 2019). For more information, see Article 15, Section 6 of the 2019 National Agreement

Instructors, whose employment involves professional contact with patients, clients, family members, and/or human subjects are required by the ASN program to present pre-employment and bi-annual documentation of an approved American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Professionals certification. Responsibilities Responsible for the planning, delivery, & evaluation of classroom & clinical instruction in the classroom, lab, & clinical setting, and for providing related services and support activities required for optimal student learning. Will also assist and support the program Director, as needed, in meeting institutional, accreditation, & curricular requirements of the program, department, & division.MAJOR DUTIES:•Provide instruction, supervision, & evaluation of student's performance in various classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings; •Teach contact hours per week as assigned (weekdays), for the full duration of scheduled instruction;•Enforce academic policy & procedures at all times, and comply with all other institutional rules & regulations pertinent to classroom/clinical/lab instruction;•Maintain ongoing communication w/Course Coordinator & attend course team meetings;•Complete clinical agency faculty orientation & comply w/mandatory requirements of the clinical site; •Coordinate w/clinicians at the clinical site to deliver and evaluate clinical education;•Assist in the development & enforcement of policies & procedures related to student progression and program completion;•Maintain complete & accurate student records; •Provide regular academic feedback to students; •Display a clean, neat, & appropriate appearance, following program clinical dress code, & avoiding extremes in attire and appearance;•Follow guidelines established in the ACEN Standards & Criteria;•Participate in program, departmental, divisional, & institutional meetings & other announced activities;•Assist with registration/orientation activities & attend annual Advisory Board meeting;•Ensure that students adhere to facility-specific guidelines & policies; GBON Registered Nursing Education program requirements; & LTC-ASN specific policies while participating in the clinical experience.
