Summary

WHAT IS THE VOLUNTARY RELOCATION PROGRAM (VRP)? The Voluntary Relocation Program (VRP) is a negotiated process which affords current Bargaining Unit employees the opportunity to relocate to a Post of Duty (POD) to a position that is the same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. Relocation must be an exact position match, the program does not allow for promotion or change to lower grades.

Responsibilities

Applicants will ONLY be referred for positions that are same as their home position of record, same grade, series and PD. There is no promotion potential under the Voluntary Relocation Program. Applicants will ONLY be referred for locations which they wish to be considered. Applicants can request a copy of the position description if selected under this program.

Applicants who apply by January 22, 2021 will be considered until December 31, 2021. Applicants who apply after January 22, 2021 will be considered from July 20, 2021 to December 31, 2021. After December 31, 2021 all VRP applicants will need to reapply for the 2022 VRP announcement. For more information, see Article 15, Section 6 of the 2019 National Agreement.

This 6-8 week program incorporates comprehensive body systems modules including anatomy and physiology, various body systems conditions, diagnostics, nursing care and treatment. This online approach provides the basic didactic critical care content with educational activities that is reinforced in clinical experience with a preceptor. Program Specifics * Full-time paid internship and nursing position * Blended didactic and precepted clinicals * Shift flexibility desired as shifts are not guaranteed * Two year contract required Candidates that receive job offers by the acceptance deadline (below) are able to start in any of the program dates that follow. We are a multi-systems unit with a cardiac blend. * Diverse patient population with cases including renal failure, respiratory failure with ventilator management, septic shock with MODS, pulmonary, post-cardiac and more. * A strong, multi-disciplinary team of highly engaged nurses with dedicated preceptors who love to teach eager new nurses Work Hours/Shifts: Full-time, Days (7 am - 7 pm) or Nights (7 pm - 7 am) Up to $3,000 Relocation available for eligible candidates (see terms below) Relocation Eligibility: * Applicable experience required. * Full Time employment contract required. * Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.
