We are currently seeking VOIP Engineer candidates to support the USACE IT Operations Center (UITOC) in Hillsboro, Oregon and Vicksburg Mississippi. This position may allow for remote telework within the United States.

The VoIP Engineer position requires experience in design, test, installation and maintenance of both local VoIP systems and large networks that cover entire regions. This position requires knowledge with computer science, digital audio hardware, and VoIP software to install cutting-edge technologies. Candidates are required to:

Under direct supervision, perform systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex applications that require some knowledge of administrative and technical skills. Support all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E). Apply higher-level business or technical principles and methods to difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solutions. The VOIP Engineer will support strategies for defining, deploying, and maintaining IP telephony voice communication architecture and its associated network connections, component hardware, and IP telephony applications. This includes supporting all engineering projects for VoIP initiatives, planning technology roadmaps, and configuring and optimizing all VoIP/IP-PBX telephone systems and services, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services. Knowledge of the VMware infrastructure and Best Practices. Ability to create/delete VMs and perform daily tasks required to maintain a strong VMware environment.

This position requires CompTIA Security+, must have US Citizenship, and must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
