Install, administer, and maintain communications systems, including large voice communications system--PBX and server-based, LAN network equipment, copper and fiber optic cabling, paging, cellular, and audio/video systems in both factory and office environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and maintain PBX voice system components, including digital, analog, and VoIP sets, contact center, CallPilot voice mail, and other associated applications.
Rack and cable network equipment in office and factory environments.
Program CLI and web-based voice system applications.
Install and maintain voice and data communication cable plant, including copper and fiber optic in buildings, underground, and aerial applications.
Interrogate and repair damaged or impaired cable plant.
Assist and advise in office and factory communications rearrangements as required.
Minimal travel required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience with VoIP and server-based applications preferred. Must have an understanding of basic electrical concepts, low voltage wiring distribution, and basic data networking
Strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read and understand architectural drawings and wiring schematics.
Critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
Basic PC skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Effective working to heights of 45 feet.
Requires specific vision abilities. Candidate must pass a physician-administered eye exam for color vision assessment.
Work well with minimal supervision.
Relate well to people and work with all levels of personnel.
