CorVel Corporation is expanding our Minnesota Rehabilitation team. We are seeking Rehabilitation Consultants in the Minneapolis- St.

Paul area to provide medical and vocational case management services to injured workers across the State of Minnesota. If you are an experienced QRC, or looking to begin a career in the workers compensation rehabilitation field, we want to learn more about your background and career path. We prefer one of the following: Master's Degree in Vocational Counseling or a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Candidates must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for assessment and coordination of medical care for injured workers.

  • Works closely with injured worker, Claims Adjusters, employers, and medical providers to ensure best possible medical care is received for the Worker Compensation injury to medically rehabilitate for return to work.

  • Position is Monday-Friday, standard business hours.

Education/Training Requirements

  • Prefer one of the following: Master's Degree in Vocational Counseling or Bachelor of Nursing Degree.

  • Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist

  • Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.

As a Resettlement Case Manager, you will assist newly arrived refugee families in adapting to the U.S. culture, identify means to promote self-sufficiency and integrate into the community. You will coordinate housing and set-up apartments with required furniture items. You will respond to requests for help in case of an emergency including coordination with emergency departments. You will also provide mediation and advocacy for families with outside providers. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, political science and/or experience working in human services or social work field * Six - twelve months of experience providing social services to refugees or immigrants preferred * Experience completing case notes and county applications for MFIP, MNsure, and SNAP * MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to work with children * Ability to drive families including children who require the use of a car seat in personal and agency van * Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, access to reliable transportation and willingness to drive throughout the seven-county metro area daily * Fluent in Sgaw Karen language preferred.
