Under direction, to assist victims and witnesses of crimes; to assess needs, provide information, and make and provide appropriate referrals and services; to act as a liaison for victims between law enforcement, prosecution, the court, and other agencies; to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; and to provide staff support related to assigned cases.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING STANDARDS
Required work experience in criminal justice, social work, or court processes. Training equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminal justice, social work, or a related field.
Education can substitute for experience. Possession of, or ability to, obtain a valid Utah Driver's License. Work is performed primarily indoors and requires prolonged sitting, standing, reaching, eye, hand, and finger dexterity, and mental applications including memory for details, verbal and written communication, and creative problem solving.
