Primary Skills





Virtualization Engineer will serve as the virtualization lead specializing in

software defined datacenter (SDDC) solutions using VMware or other

virtualization technologies. Serves as a virtualization lead to design,

implement and support current VMware vSphere based environments in multiple

locations as well as potential future virtualization implementations, including

vRealize, vSAN and other virtual technologies. This position will also provide

installation and support of various server operating systems.



  • 5+ years of experience in VMware vSphere related work

  • Experience with HyperConverged Virtualization hardware platforms, including

VMware vSAN and Dell vxRail

  • Experience with managing backup and disaster recovery technologies in a virtual


  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows 2008-2016 server configuration

and administration, including underlying technologies and Active Directory

server roles.

  • Strong IT infrastructure technical skills including x86 server platforms,

Windows Server and Linux operating system expertise, SAN/NAS storage

technologies and TCP/IP networking

  • Experience with PowerShell

  • Experience with HP or Cisco UCS hardware and systems management

  • Experience with implementing VMware, UNIX, and Windows STIGs

  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate technical obstacles

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal skills

to interact with customers, team members and upper management

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create user documentation, respond to

RFPs, and submit professional reports and provide demos of the virtual


  • Creates, updates, and follows SOPs and other documentation (ex. Change and

configuration management.)


& Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience in VMware vSphere related work

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • VMware Certified Professional 6 Certification or higher VMware certification

including VCP or equivalent VMware hands-on experience preferred

Ensures completeness and correctness of project submittals while reviewing for compliance with project specifications and contract requirements. Reviews and processes Request For Design Clarifications (RFDC) and Requests For Information (RFI) and other office engineering activities at the direction of the Technical Coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES * Reviews construction submittal packages prepared by procurement and site staff to confirm compliance with contract documents. * Works collaboratively and interfaces with procurement staff to resolve issues with nonconforming submittal packages. * Interfaces with Technical Coordinator and procurement staff to track and ensure timely submittal (and resubmittal) of construction submittals to maintain project schedule. * Assists Technical Coordinator in resolution of AE and or Owner comments on reviewed submittal packages. * Assists Technical Coordinator in review and resolution of RFDC and RFI issues. * Assists Technical Coordinator with tracking and processing of change orders, RFP's, and REA's. * Interfaces with Administrative Assistant to ensure current updates to the office set of contract drawings and specifications, both hard copy and electronic. Include all issued RFDC's, ASI's, and RFI's as well as major redline information. Maintain the master drawing revision log and notify project personnel when documents have been updated. * Performs other duties as may be assigned. REQUIREMENTS Education/Experience: Minimum high school diploma/GED and four years' experience in the construction industry required. Four-year degree in engineering, construction, architecture or management preferred. Certifications, Licenses, etc.: Current clearance, or the ability to obtain, a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requires excellent technical and time management skills. Strong client relations skills are a must. Ability to develop a working knowledge of all applicable Caddell processes and procedures. Ability to communicate and work with multinational and multi-disciplined employees. Excellent organizational skills.
