VMware Software Sales Specialist
The Licensing Sales Specialist provides the business insights, VMware product & licensing program knowledge, & overall VMware expertise that will drive & enable our salesforce to successfully grow the VMware business.
The Licensing Sales Specialist understands the challenges that customers have with the acquisition & management of VMware licensing & solves those challenges through delivery of ongoing solutions that reduce the customer's risks & manage their costs.
The Specialist ensures execution of our Contract Value Process by delivering quarterly customer business reviews.
The Specialist is chartered to execute VMware sales strategies aligned to acquiring new customers, expanding licensing usage & deployment, & building a trusted advisor relationship with the local VMware teams.
As our VMware Software Sales Specialist, you'll:
Ownership of the VMware Licensing GP plan for assigned sales territories
Increase the customer base by executing on software campaigns
Improve VMware penetration within our account base by effective delivery of the VMware value proposition & enabling cross selling of other categories products
Increase services attach for Softchoice by guiding the overall interaction between the extended Softchoice sales teams (Sales Reps, Solution Architects & Services teams)
Be a subject matter expert on VMware licensing solutions, pricing programs, policies, procedures & deal registration
Create proposals highlighting technical & business benefits of solutions presented
Proactively move opportunities through the sales cycle which includes presenting, position & selling VMware licensing solutions
Ensure licensing contracts or requests are completed in a timely & accurate manner
Ensure all relevant data is properly inputted & contracts are submitted accurately to the vendor
Communicate contract progress to internal & external stakeholders
Act as the Softchoice ambassador to the VMware field sellers through active engagement & co-selling activities
Delivery of Contract Value Process quarterly briefings (deliver VMware product roadmap, licensing, & financial content to customers) & delivery of the SAM POV
Project manage the VMware enterprise agreement renewal process
Manage pipeline of VMware licensing sales opportunities
Engage with Sales teams to sell jointly into sales territories & customer accounts
Identifying new Enterprise Agreement Prospects
As our ideal candidate, you'll have:
A deep understanding of VMware products and services
3-5 years of sales experience (with VMware products)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent customer-facing presentation skills
Experience solving complex customers problems through analysis
The ability and experience in training and mentoring others
Ability to interact and communicate at the Executive level
Experience developing strategy and tactics to meet business objectives
The desire to be competitive and refuse to lose!
