Job Description:
The Sr.
VMware Systems Engineer will develop and support the ongoing delivery of cost optimized virtual infrastructure services as part of Uniteds Digital Technology portfolio.
The emphasis for this position will be on the automation and orchestration of VMware.
Experience with the vRealize suite of applications (vRA, vRO, vRB) is essential.

Required skills include:
Architect-level experience with VMware:
10+ years with 8 years in a senior technical role (Sr. Engineer, Architect, etc.)
Expertise in the following technologies: vRA, vRO, vROPS, Distributed Switches
Expertise automating the provisioning of virtual infrastructure using the vRealize suite of applications: vRA, vRO, vRB
Strong knowledge of scripting (ex. PowerCLI, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
Solid understanding of virtual and physical network, storage, and security concepts and practices
Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and command line operations
Working knowledge of data center management concepts and practices
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to develop quantitative, prioritized action plans to mitigate risk
Must have experience in the development of processes, procedures, and standards
Flexible schedule - must be available to work non-standard business hours as needed including weekends
On call - Must be available via cell phone for issue resolution and assistance after hours.

Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
VCP 5.x or above
Certifications or advanced experience with Linux (RHEL, OEL), Windows (Win2K8 and above), networking, and storage (SAN, NAS) Required skills include:

Our client is located in the NW suburbs near O'Hare Airport Job Scope of the Manufacturing Engineer: Under direction of the manufacturing manager, you will develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency of CNC machining and turning operations. Design & develop fixtures, tools, research and implement approved automation and train employees on the methods you develop and continuously improve. Major Responsibilities - * Be a safety role model. Engage with employees, supervision and management to create and promote a safe work environment. Always work first to engineer safety into our work processes. * Work to meet your personal manufacturing engineering KPIs. Monthly, investigate and provide root cause analysis when KPIs are not met to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering. Implement approved corrective actions. * Actively engage with all of the company to support our Lean Transformation, deploying Lean Tools to improve employee safety, processes and decrease cost. Problem solves gaps and redesign. Implement mistake-proofing concepts to prevent product defects. * Analyze and design fixtures, processes and recommend automation of process including new equipment. * Ensure vendors/subcontractors are manufacturing products according to product specifications. Ensure that all manufacturing product specifications are developed and testing procedures are in place before utilizing vendors/subcontractors. Provide input and support during the selection process of new vendors. * Complete other tasks as assigned or required. . Requirements: Education, Experience & Certifications * BS degree in Engineering (prefer: mechanical, industrial or related) * 1+ years experience in a CNC manufacturing or turning environment as a manufacturing engineer or continuous improvement engineer is required * Work knowledge of CNC process, safety standards for machining and machinery maintenance. * Job shop experience should include a mix of both low & high volume part production. * Green Belt or Lean Certification a plus Successful Essential Skills * Ethical practice - adheres to the organizations Mission, Vision, Values and Culture during both good and bad times.
